Abstract:
A method and user equipment (UE) for obtaining power headroom information in a communication system are provided. The method includes acquiring information for a path loss reference, wherein the information for the path loss reference indicates whether the UE applies as the path loss reference either a downlink of a primary cell or a downlink of a secondary cell (SCell), triggering a power headroom report (PHR) if a prohibitPHR-Timer expires and a path loss is changed more than a threshold for at least one activated cell which is used as the path loss reference, and obtaining power headroom information for each activated cell, if extended PHR is used and an uplink resource is allocated for new transmission.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a method for correcting an error caused by Hyper Frame Number (HFN) and Packet Data Convergence Protocol Sequence Number (PDCP SN) mismatch between a user equipment and base station when the user equipment fails in handover between cells in a wireless communication system. In addition, the present disclosure provides a handover procedure for a user equipment performing handover from a macro cell to a Closed Subscriber Group (CSG) cell shared by multiple operators in a wireless communication system. The present disclosure enables a user equipment and base station to perform communication without a malfunction after handover failure. For handover from a macro cell to a CSG cell shared by multiple operators, the present disclosure enables a user equipment to perform handover to an accessible cell.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a transmission of a random access in a specific cell from a plurality of serving cells in a mobile communication system using a carrier aggregation technology, and a method for efficiently transmitting uplink channels other than the random access in another cell. In particular, the method for a terminal to transmit an uplink channel to a base station comprises the steps of: confirming whether an uplink channel for a second carrier having an uplink timing different from a first carrier is included in a subframe transmitting a Random Access Preamble for the first carrier; if included, confirming whether the sum of the electric power required for the transmission of the random access preamble and the electric power required for the transmission of the uplink channel exceeds the maximum transmission electric power of the terminal; and, if exceeding, transmitting the random access preamble preferentially before the uplink channel. In addition, the terminal for transmitting an uplink channel to a base station comprises: a transmitter/receiver for transmitting/receiving a signal to/from the base station; and a control unit for confirming whether the uplink channel for a second carrier having an uplink timing different from a first carrier is included in a subframe for transmitting a random access preamble for the first carrier, and if included, confirming whether the sum of the electric power required for transmitting the Random Access Preamble and the electric power required for transmitting the uplink channel exceeds the maximum transmission electric power of the terminal, and if exceeding, controlling the transmission so that the random access preamble is preferentially transmitted before the uplink channel.
Abstract:
A random access procedure control method and apparatus is provided for controlling a random access procedure efficiently in a mobile communication system supporting carrier aggregation. The method for controlling random access procedure of a terminal in a wireless communication system having a primary cell and at least one secondary cell includes initiating a random access procedure in the primary cell and the at least one secondary cells, detecting a random access failure of a terminal performing the random access procedure, determining whether the random access failure is detected in the primary cell or the at least one secondary cell, and determining whether to continue the random access procedure according to a result of the determining of whether the random access failure is detected.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and to an apparatus for optimizing the power consumption of a terminal in a mobile communication system. The method for optimizing power consumption of a terminal in a mobile communication system comprises: a determination step of determining whether there is a need for changing a configuration for a discontinuous reception operation of the terminal; and a transmission step of transmitting, to a base station, a request message for a change in the discontinuous reception operation, if it is determined that the change is needed.

Abstract:
To solve the above-mentioned problem, the method for transmitting and receiving a signal by user equipment (UE) through one or more cells, according to one embodiment of the present specification, comprises the steps of: receiving, from a base station, a first message indicating whether one or more cells usable by the UE are enabled; determining which cells to enable or disable on the basis of the first message; and enabling or disabling the selected cells. According to the embodiment of the present specification, by aggregating carriers amongst different base stations, a possibility for the UE to transmit and receive high-speed data through carrier aggregation can increase.
Abstract:
Provided are a method and apparatus for reporting power headroom in a mobile communication system supporting carrier aggregation. A user equipment (UE) determines the maximum transmit power for each carrier and the maximum UE transmit power, and sends a power headroom report that contains power headroom for each carrier computed based on the maximum transmit power for the carrier and the maximum UE transmit power to a corresponding base station (ENB).
