A liquid crystal display device and a driving method thereof are disclosed. The method for driving the liquid crystal display device comprises the following steps: converting three primary color gray-scale data of a frame image to be displayed into multiple color gray-scale data; and driving different sub pixels according to the overdrive gray-scale values that are obtained through inquiring the overdrive table based on the multiple color gray-scale data of the frame image to be displayed according to a certain time sequence in two color fields. According to the method, the color shift phenomena of the traditional liquid crystal display device can be alleviated effectively.

A backlight module includes a substrate having an opening on top, a first reflective plate disposed on a bottom surface of the substrate, light guide plates disposed on the first reflective plate with intervals in between, backlight source components, and a plurality of optical films disposed on the opening of the substrate. The backlight source components comprise heat sink shelves, and point light sources that are fixed on the heat sink shelves and inserted in the interval between two neighboring light guide plates. The present invention effectively reduces the width and thickness of the backlight module, and is instrumental for a narrow-frame and ultra-thin design, effectively reduce production cost. Meanwhile, the arrangement ensures good backlight uniformity, and is instrumental in reducing the distance needed for light mixing. Additionally, the defect of dark band appearing around the backlight module of traditional backlight modules can be effectively eliminated.

The disclosure provides a backlight module and a display device. The backlight module comprises a light guide plate having a first surface and a second surface intersecting with the first surface, a first light bar, a second light bar, and first positioning columns. First positioning holes is formed on the first surface. The first light bar comprises a first substrate arranged close to the first surface, first blue emitting diodes arranged on the first substrate, and first quantum dot fluorescent tubes arranged close to the first surface. The second light bar comprises a second substrate arranged close to the first surface, second blue light emitting diodes arranged on the second substrate, and second quantum dot fluorescent tubes arranged close to the second surface. The first positioning columns are arranged between the first quantum dot fluorescent tubes and the first surface such that a first space is formed there between.

A method for debugging an overdrive table is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of establishing debugging conditions for debugging overdrive gray-scale values in overdrive table of different primary colors according to a partition mode of a liquid crystal display device, backlights of two color fields, and a refresh rate of the backlight. According to the method, various factors which influence the display effect of the liquid crystal display panel are taken into consideration when the overdrive table is debugged, whereby the accuracy of the overdrive table can be improved significantly, and a better display effect can be achieved.

The present invention provides a multiple primary colors liquid crystal display and a driving method thereof. The multiple primary colors liquid crystal display comprises a LED backlight source (1) and a liquid crystal display panel (3); the LED backlight source (1) comprises a plurality of red, green, blue and cyan LEDs (11, 12, 13, 14); the liquid crystal display panel (3) comprises a CF substrate (33), and the CF substrate (33) comprises a plurality of red, green and blue filters (331, 333, 335). The red, green and blue LEDs (11, 12, 13) are activated as showing the first color frame, and lights transmitting through the red, green and blue filters (331, 333, 335) respectively are red light R, green light G and blue light B; the red and cyan LEDs (11, 14) are activated as showing the second color frame, and lights transmitting through the red, green and blue filters (331, 333, 335) respectively are the red light R, a first cyan light C1 and a second cyan light C2, capable of basically and completely achieving all objects' colors of nature.

The present invention discloses a backlight module, comprising: a light guide plate, which comprises at least one light incident side; a light source, which is provided adjacent to the light incident side; and at least one quantum dot film strip, which is provided between the light source and the light incident side; wherein, the light emitted from the light source is irradiated to the light incident side through the quantum dot film strip. The present invention further discloses a liquid crystal display device having the backlight module.
