    摘要: An object of the invention is to quickly supply inexpensive large current terminals without entailing complicated metal-working process and labor. Further, another object thereof is to provide methods of metal-working such terminals. A large current male terminal is constructed by forming a hollow cylindrical electric contact part on one end of a conductive pipe, a hollow cylindrical wire crimping part on the other end thereof, and a collar between the electric contact part and the wire crimping part. The electric contact part has a substantially conical nose and is formed by squeezing one end of the conductive pipe in such a manner that the diameter of the one end is gradually reduced frontward. The wire crimping part has such an inner diameter as to allow a wire to be inserted thereinto. The collar has a diameter larger than the other parts.

    摘要: The present invention provides a system which can easily connect a shielding wire and a terminal in a shielding connector without damaging an internal sheath of the shielding wire and causing contact between a shielding layer and core wires of the shielding wire. The system has a shielding layer pressing member having an inner diameter substantially the same as the outer diameter of the internal sheath of the shielding wire, and shielding tube 7. The shielding layer pressing member is fitted to the terminal of the shielding layer exposed by stripping a terminal portion of the external sheath of the shielding wire, and is slid toward the remaining portion of the external sheath to contract the shielding layer. The shielding tube is inserted between the internal sheath and the external sheath with the contracted portion of the shielding layer therebetween and is fixed by caulking from the outside thereof. One end of the shielding tube is brought into contact with the inner surface of a connector housing to create continuity between the shielding layer and a connector housing.

    摘要: A plurality of terminals to be connected to opponent cables and a plurality of connector portion receiving cavities are stepwise arranged on a connector portion on the upstream apparatus side fixedly secured to a predetermined apparatus in parallel with a stationary plane of the connector portion on the upstream apparatus side. To electrically connect the connector portions on the upstream apparatus side to the connector portions on the downstream apparatus side, the connector portions on the downstream apparatus side are successively fitted into the connector portion receiving cavities in the direction at a right angle relative to extension of the terminals starting with the connector portion receiving cavity at the lowest stage. Whether or not the connector portions on the downstream apparatus side are correctly fitted into the connector portion receiving cavities at the lower stages is detected based on the fact that the connector portion on the downstream apparatus side at the upper stage is correctly fitted into the corresponding connector portion receiving cavity.

The female connector includes a female terminal having a wire retaining portion and a fitting hole extending in a direction perpendicular to a direction of extension of a wire, and a housing containing the female terminal therein and having a notch which is formed at a front end portion thereof, the notch opening in a direction of the opening of the fitting hole. When the fitting contact tongue is inserted and fitted in the fitting hole, the notched front end portions of the two connectors are connected together, thereby reducing a deviation of the two wires from each other in a direction perpendicular to the axes of the two wires.

    摘要: A structure for connecting a shielded-cable end in which the braid of the shielded cable is simply and reliably connected to a metal sleeve. The metal sleeve includes a through-tube the diameter of which is greater than that of an external sheath disposed around the braid of the shielded cable and a through-hole which is smaller than the outer diameter of the braid and is equivalent to or greater than the outer diameter of an internal sheath within the braid. The braid is squeezed and accommodated within the through-tube of the metal sleeve and the through-tube is crimped and connected to the braid. An enlarged connecting portion serially extending from the through-tube is pressed against a conductive shield plate of a shield connector.

    摘要: A perfect coupling confirming mechanism for an electric connector having a first connector housing and a second connector housing, employing two electrical contactors, among those accommodated in contactor chambers formed in the second connector housing, as check contactors for the confirmation of the perfect coupling of the first and second connector housings. The first connector housing is provided with a principal locking arm provided with a first and second locking projections. A locking slider and a short-circuiting member are provided movably in the second connector housing. When the first and second connector housings are coupled perfectly, the first locking projection and the second connector housing are engaged to lock the first and second connector housings to each other in a primary locked state. In this state, the locking slider is advanced so that the locking slider engages the second locking projection of the principal locking arm to lock the first and second connector housings in a secondary locked state and to disconnect the check contactors electrically by the short-circuiting member. Thus, the first and second connector housings are double-locked. When the first and second connector housings are coupled imperfectly, the locking slider is unable to engage the second locking projection of the principal locking arm and the check contactors remain connected electrically.
