A method for forming color photographic images is disclosed. The method comprises steps ofimagewise exposing to light a silver halide color photographic light-sensitive materialdeveloping the light-sensitive material with a color developer,bleaching, immediately after the step of developing, the light-sensitive material with a bleacing solution, andtreating the bleached light-sensitive material with a solution having fixing capablility, whereinthe light-sensitive material comprises a support and hydrophilic colloid layers including a silver halide emulsion layer provided on a side of the support, and a total dry thickness of the hydrophilic colloid layers is not more than 17 .mu.m, andthe bleaching solution contains a ferric complex salt of a compound represented by the following formula in an amount of within the range of from 0.002 mole to 9.4 mole per liter of the bleaching solution; ##STR1## wherein A.sub.1, through A.sub.4 are each a --CH.sub.2 OH group, a --COOM, or a --PO.sub.3 M.sup.1 M.sup.2. Color photographic images can be obtained, which is excellent in image sharpness and improved in bleach-fog desilvering property and preservcapability, with diminished amount of developer replenishing.

The disposal device has a gas detecting device for detecting gas which may be generated during the evaporation of the waste liquor and a control device for stopping the evaporation based on the detection of a concentration of a specific gas. The processing method for photographic waste liquor involves evaporating the waste liquor to concentrate it and detecting gases which are generated during the evaporation process. When the concentration of a specific gas reaches a certain level, the evaporation step is halted.

A method for forming photographic color images is disecond closed, in which a silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material is rapidly processed with low replenishment of processing solutions. The images improved in lowered yellow stain can be obtained. The processing comprises steps of color developing, bleaching immediately after the developing step, and treating with a bath having a fixing capability following the bleaching step. The steps of bleaching and treating with a solution having a fixing capability are carried out for a time of not more than 3 minutes 45 seconds at a temperature of from 20.degree. to 45.degree. C. The light-sensitive material comprises silver halide emulsion layers each containing silver bromide and/or silver boromoiodide grains and satsifies at least one of the following requirements (1) and (2); (1) a blue light-sensitive emulsion layer included in the silver halide emulsion layers has a silver density d of not less than 4.0.times.10.sup.-1 g/cm.sup.3. (2) a green light-sensitive emulsion layer included in the silver halide emulsion layers has a silver density d of not less than 6.0.times.10.sup.-1 g/cm.sup.3.

A developed silver halide color photographic material is contacted, subsequent to a processing step in a bleach-fixing bath or a fixing bath and substantially accompanied by no washing step, at the last stage of color processing with a dye stabilizing solution adjusted to a pH value between 3.0 and 9.0 and containing a soluble complex salt of an iron ion obtained by reacting an iron ion with a compound selected from the group consisting of ##STR1## The soluble complex salt of an iron ion is present in the dye stabilizing solution at a concentration of at least 1.times.10.sup.-4 mol/l.

Disclosed is a method for treating a photographic processing waste solution comprising concentrating the photographic processing waste solution containing at least thiosulfate ions, characterized in that there is provided at least one part selected from (i) to (v) shown below:(i) a part for adding sulfite ions or a compound capable of releasing sulfite ions into the photographic processing waste solution at the time or before heating of the photographic processing waste solution;(ii) a part for contact evaporated gas with a catalyst having a metal of the following (a) to (d) or a compound thereof carried thereon:(a) at least one selected from the group VIII elements consisting of iron, cobalt, nickel, ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, osmium, iridium and platinum,(b) copper,(c) zinc,(d) manganese;(iii) a part for permitting a water-soluble polymer to exist;(iv) a part for permitting an oxidizing agent capable of oxidizing thiosulfate ions to exist; and(v) a part for adding a pH controlling agent into the photographic processing waste solution in order to maintain pH of the photographic processing waste solution at 3.0 to 11.0.
