摘要: In a power supply apparatus for discharge surface treatment which uses a green compact electrode as a discharge electrode, allows a pulse-type discharge to take place between said discharge electrode and a workpiece, and forms a film, which is made of an electrode material or a material obtained when the electrode material reacts to a discharge energy, on a surface of the workpiece following three measures are taken. (1) When a discharge voltage detected by the voltage detection means is less than or equal to discharge detection voltage set value which is slightly lower than a power supply voltage, the electric current cut-off means forcibly cuts off an output of the oscillator so that long-time pulse is prevented. (2) A capacitor is connected in parallel with an oscillation circuit of the oscillator, and the long-time pulse is prevented by capacitor discharge. (3) Time that the discharge takes place once is controlled by a timer so that the long-time pulse is prevented.

摘要: An electron-optical system, including irradiation means which irradiates a surface of a sample with an irradiating electron beam and observation means which focuses an observational electron beam emitted from the surface of the sample as an image on electron beam detection means. The observation means includes a plurality of electrodes. The electron-optical system further includes an accelerating electric field disposed between the surface of the sample and at least one of the plurality of electrodes so that the sample is biased to a negative potential, and so that the velocity of the observational electron beam that has just been emitted from the surface of the sample increases monotonically to a positive potential. The velocity of the observational electron beam that has been accelerated to the positive potential is reduced to the ground potential by another of the plurality of electrodes which form the observation means.

摘要: An electrical discharge machine for applying a pulsed voltage to a machining gap between an electrode and a workpiece disposed opposite thereto. An insulating dielectric fluid, such as oil or water mixed with a compound additive, is disposed in the gap. A positive polarity voltage and an opposite polarity voltage are applied via switches and respective impedances to the machining gap in order to generate a discharge for machining the workpiece. A pulse having a first polarity is applied to machine the workpiece and a pulse having a second polarity is applied when the first polarity pulse is not applied. The time of application of the second polarity pulse is increased depending upon the number of short-circuits detected between the electrode and the workpiece.

摘要: An exposure apparatus for reproducing a mask pattern onto a photo-sensitive surface of a substrate uses holographic techniques. The apparatus includes support for holding a hologram recording plate at a predetermined position during both a recording operation and a reconstructing operation. A first illuminating optical system introduces a light beam from a coherent light source to a mask and irradiates a subject beam produced from the mask into the recording plate. A second illuminating optical system irradiates the light beam from a coherent light source as a reference beam into the recording plate, a carrier apparatus disposes during the reconstructing operation, a substrate at the position of the mask, in place of the mask. A third illuminating optical system for irradiates a conjugate beam with the reference beam into the recording plate, in which a hologram has been formed by the recording operation, to form an image of the hologram on the photo-sensitive surface of the substrate. A controler for for selectively controlling the first, second and third illuminating optical systems puts an at least a selected one of the optical system into an operative condition so as to irradiate a fixing light beam into the recording plate in order to fix the hologram.
