摘要: An air bag system for protecting a passenger seated on the front passenger seat of a vehicle. In an initial stage, the air bag is inflated mildly. In the subsequent stage, the bag is inflated also mildly. The directivity of produced gas can be reduced. The air bag can be inflated mildly while maintaining a large area. The air bag system comprises an air bag case having an opening on its top side, an inflator disposed inside the air bag case, the aforementioned air bag folded in the air bag case, and a diffuser mounted between the inflator and the opening in the case. The air bag is placed in a side-by-side relation to the inflator and located behind the inflator inside the case. The diffuser is provided with numerous holes for supplying the gas. The diffuser acts to regulate flow of the gas from the inflator. At least when the gas is produced from the inflator, a space is created between the outer surface of the inflator and the diffuser.

摘要: In an air bag device, a diffuser 5 is provided with a partition wall 51 partitioning a space on a case opening side of the diffuser 5 into a passenger side and a side further from the passenger; a gas guiding passage 7 for guiding gas produced by an inflator 4 to a case opening 21 is formed on the side of this partition wall 51 further from the passenger, a folded air bag 3 is packed on the passenger side of the partition wall 51, and a case-side end portion 32a of an air bag upper part 32 to constitute the upper part of the deployed air bag is disposed so as to cover the exit of the gas guiding passage 7. As a result, the end portion 32a of the air bag upper part 32 is expanded first and the air bag subsequently deploys progressively and smoothly from this air bag upper part 32 side in a controlled manner.

摘要: In an airbag having a generally quadrilateral pyramidal body fallen sideways, cloths 21 and 22 for side face portions having a generally triangular shape constituting side face portions 20 of the pyramidal body, are extended from both side edge portions of an upper face portion 16 and a lower face portion 18 of the pyramidal body, opposed side edge portions 21a and 21a of the respective cloths 21 and 22 for the side face portions are sewed together, and both side edge portions 14a of a frontal portion 14 and respective side edge portions 21b and 22b of the cloths 21 and 22 for side face portions are sewed together, both the seam portions 24 in a lateral direction and the seam portions 26 in a vertical direction constituting a T-like shape fallen sideways formed at side face portions 20, are formed in a circular arc shape bent outwardly. Thereby, balance of extensions of the seam portions and other cloth portions of the airbag is achieved by which the airbag having a predetermined extended shape can easily be fabricated and further, stresses applied on intersections 28 of the seam portions 24 and the seam portions 26 can be alleviated.

C., a liquid color clear coating (D) which comprises a thermosetting resin composition and a color pigment as the main components and which shows a film hiding power of 50.mu. or more and a film elongation ratio of 10% or less at 20.degree. C., and a clear coating (E) in this order on a wet-on-wet basis, and heating the formed films of the coatings (C), (D) and (E) to crosslink and cure the three films simultaneously. According to the method, part of the heat-curing steps employed in multilayer film formation can be eliminated and a multilayer film of smaller thickness and improved properties (e.g. improved surface smoothness and chipping resistance) can be obtained.

摘要: A power supply apparatus has a combined power source with power cells configured electrically independently. A switch arbitrarily changes connection paths of the power cells by selectively connecting terminals of the power cells through switching elements. A detector detects differences in electrical potentials between power cell terminals. An output detector detects a power consumption in a load and/or an output power of the power source. ON-OFF states of the switching elements are controlled by a control signal generated based on voltage signals representing detected differences in electrical potentials, power consumption, and output power. A connection status of each power cell is controlled so as to halt outputting of the power cell having the lowest output voltage if it is detected that a detected power value is equal to or lower than an output power preset based on a power generating capacity of the power source.

摘要: Hydrogen generation materials are a complex hydride which generates hydrogen upon hydrolysis, and an aqueous solution comprising water for causing the hydrolysis, and an accelerator dissolved therein for accelerating a hydrogen generation reaction. A method of hydrogen generation by a hydrogen generator comprises a first step S1 of detecting that the internal pressure of a reactor is lower than a reference pressure, and supplying the aqueous accelerator solution to the reactor; a second step S2 of dissolving the complex hydride in the aqueous accelerator solution to cause a hydrogen generation reaction; and a third step S3 of detecting that the internal pressure of the reactor is higher than the reference pressure, and stopping the supply of the aqueous accelerator solution, and repeats the flow from the first step S1 to the third step S3.
