Abstract:
The coffee maker of the present invention has a guiding gutter formed movably below a basket for containing ground coffee beans. In the first state, the guiding gutter guides coffee extract obtained from the basket directly into a cooling tank having a freezing section. In the second state, the guiding gutter let the coffee extract obtained from the basket fall into a pot situated below the basket.
Abstract:
A member is prepared by forming a magnetic surface layer on a magnetic base member having a different composition from the surface layer. A laser beam is radiated onto the member so as to fuse the member and the surface layer, thereby forming a fused portion having magnetic properties. A modified portion is formed in a portion of the fused portion corresponding to the surface layer such that this portion has different permeability from other portions of the surface layer.
Abstract:
A pattern inspection apparatus comprises a sensor data input section for inputting a two-dimensional inspected pattern as image data (sensor data) having a multivalued (non-binary) density distribution, design data input section for inputting reference pattern data (reference data) corresponding to the inspected pattern, a compare section for making a comparison between the image data and the reference data to obtain the difference in density therebeween, a minimum compare section for performing spatial differentiation filtering on the distribution of density between the inspected pattern and the reference pattern in different directions and obtaining the minimum of the absolute values of the filtered outputs, and a first defect determining section for detecting a defect on the basis of the minimum obtained by the compare section. In place of the first defect determining section, a maximum/minimum compare section for obtaining the minimum and maximum of the absolute values of the filtered outputs and a second defect determining section for detecting a defect on the basis of the density difference, the minimum and the maximum may be provided.

Abstract:
A full automatic operation system for an injection molding machine which is capable of smoothly and automatically starting the purge and start-up operations and then beginning to produce the completely molded products after the barrel, mold and hydraulic fluid are heated to their optimum temperatures, respectively, automatically stopping the molding operation in case that continuous production of incomplete molded products or an abnormal condition in the molding machine occurs during the automatic operation and automatically restarting the operation after the stop.
Abstract:
A directional control valve includes a casing having a bore therein, a pair of inlet/outlet passages connected to a pair of inlet/outlet apertures, a U-shaped supply passage disposed between the inlet/outlet passages, a pair of reservoir passages between which the inlet/outlet passages are disposed and a plunger which has a plurality of land portions and is reciprocably movable in the bore into which the inlet/outlet passages and the U-shaped passage and the reservoir passages open, such that a fluid passed through the inlet/outlet apertures and the inlet/outlet passages and the U-shaped supply passage and the reservoir passages is controlled in response to a reciprocating motion of the plunger. A sub-reservoir is provided, through which one of the inlet/outlet passages is communicated with one of the reservoir passages. The sub-reservoir has an inlet and an outlet which open into the bore so that both of the inlet and the outlet of the sub-reservoir are directed towards only one of the land portions or towards two of the land portions which are adjacent to each other.
Abstract:
A pressurized holding furnace having an open feeding chamber is provided with a pressure chamber having a pressure device for pressurizing the pressure chamber and a discharge device for releasing the pressure. The pressure chamber is provided at a lower position than the lowest level of the molten metal in the pressure chamber with an inlet port of a feeding pipe and at a higher position than the highest level of the molten metal in the pressure chamber with an electromagnetic pump.
Abstract:
A method of rapidly discharging a molten metal from its supply system of a pressurized holding furnace having an open feeding chamber provided at one side of a pressure chamber with a suction pipe of a delivery pump, said pressure chamber having an inlet valve and an outlet valve for a pressure gas, in which the pressure chamber is pressurized to keep a constant level of the molten metal in the feeding chamber for maintaining a constant suction head of the delivery pump is disclosed, wherein the suction pipe is situated at a higher position than such a level of the molten metal in the feeding chamber that is lowered when a pressure in the pressure chamber is released while the supply system including the delivery pump is positioned upwardly above the suction pipe, and in that the outlet valve of the pressure chamber is opened when the molten metal is discharged from the supply system for allowing the molten metal to return into the pressure chamber, thereby rapidly lowering the metal level of the feeding chamber below the suction pipe for discharging the molten metal from the supply system into the holding furnace.
Abstract:
A barrel-type epitaxial vapor phase growing apparatus in which a susceptor for mounting wafers to be treated on a plurality of plates is rotatably hung by a rod inside a bell jar. Purge gases are supplied to the casing housing the drive mechanism and a baffle directs the gases along the rod and into the susceptor. The purge gases carry dust which is thus kept away from the wafers on the outside of the susceptor as it passes through the susceptor to an exhaust at the lower end of the reaction chamber. The flowing purge gases also cool the susceptor more quickly after treatment.
Abstract:
In apparatus for detecting rectilinear movement of the type comprising a screw made of magnetic material and provided with a single screw thread and a detection coil including a bobbin slidably containing the screw and provided with double screw threads having a pitch of one half of the pitch of the single screw thread, a pair of solenoid coils wound in the valleys of the double screw threads, and lead conductors connected to the opposite ends of the solenoid coils the lead conductors of one solenoid coil being 180* apart from the lead conductors of the other solenoid coil, whereby the difference in the inductances of the pair of solenoid coils is detected for measuring the relative rectilinear movement between the screw and the detection coil, the inductances of the opposite ends of the solenoid coils are made smaller than the inductances of the intermediate portions.
