A steering system for a steerable vehicle includes at least two steerable wheels, to each of which an electrically operable steering actuator to enable the steering actuator to adjust the steering angle of the particular steerable wheel by application of a steering torque. The at least two steering actuators can be mechanically coupled to each other so that, in the event of a failure or a malfunction of the one steering actuator, the steering torque provided by the other steering actuator can be transferred to the one steering actuator, to enable the steering angle of the steerable wheel assigned to the failed steering actuator to still be changed via the other steering actuator. The at least two steering actuators can be mechanically coupled to each other via a bendable shaft or via a universal joint shaft which includes at least two rigid shafts hingedly connected via a universal joint.
Abstract:
An assembly includes a first cam carrier and at least one other cam carrier for a securing device for an adjustable steering column of a motor vehicle. Each of the cam carriers has at least one cam, and the carriers are located opposite one another so that they can rotate against one another about a rotational axis. When the first cam carrier rotates against the other cam carrier through a rotational angle about the rotational axis, the cam of the first cam carrier rests on and glides along the cam of the other cam carrier on a contact path. The contact path runs at a radial distance from the rotational axis, and the distance altering depends on the rotational angle.
Abstract:
A steering shaft bearing unit for rotatably mounting a steering shaft of a steering column for a motor vehicle includes at least one circumferentially closed region for accommodating at least one bearing for rotatably mounting the steering shaft, and at least one securing region for securing the steering shaft bearing unit to a console part of the steering column. At least one through-hole, in particular two through-holes, for guiding a clamping bolt of the steering column therethrough is/are arranged in the securing region. The securing region and the circumferentially closed region are designed as separate parts that are then preferably directly interconnected, preferably welded together.
Abstract:
A steering column for a motor vehicle including a steering spindle bearing unit for rotatably supporting a steering spindle of the steering column and a bracket unit for securing the steering column on the motor vehicle. The steering spindle bearing unit is bearing supported by a securement device on at least one bracket part of the bracket unit, wherein the position of the steering spindle bearing unit relative to the bracket unit is secured in position in a closed position of the securement device and, in an open position of the securement device, is displaceable. The securement device includes an operating lever swivellable about a lever swivel axis, by which the operating lever is displaceable between the closed position and the open position. The steering column includes at least one damping element for damping the swivel movement of the operating lever about the lever swivel axis.
Abstract:
In a method for working a functional part, which extends in a longitudinal direction and has a lateral surface that surrounds a longitudinal central axis of the functional part running in the longitudinal direction and has an end face bounding the functional part at a free end in the axial direction, a punch that can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the functional part is pressed against the end face of the functional part, while the functional part is initially located in a cavity of a tool, at least over a partial portion of its longitudinal extent that adjoins its free end, which cavity is bounded in the radial direction with respect to the longitudinal central axis by a wall surface surrounding the lateral surface and lying at least partially against the lateral surface, and furthermore the tool, is pulled off from the functional part over the free end of the functional part over a pulling-off travel, while the punch remains pressed against the end face of the functional part, at least over a partial travel of the pulling-off travel of the tool from the functional part. A material flow of material of the functional part is brought about by the tool during the pulling-off of the tool from the functional part.
