    摘要: A threaded tubular connection includes two elements, male and female, made up one into the other to a given torque in which, prior to making up, at least one thread face under contact pressure has a convexly rounded shape that is continuous over its width with a radius of curvature in the range 2 to 60 mm and is in point contact with the corresponding face of the mating element. Such a threaded connection has an increased resistance to breakout or to overtorquing. In one embodiment, the convexly rounded face is a male or female thread flank and one of the male or female threads includes a groove opening into the thread crest to render flexible either the convexly rounded flank or the corresponding flank. Such a geometry can accommodate variations in contact between the flanks.

    摘要: The invention relates to a high-performance threaded tubular joint comprising a first, male tubular element (11) and a second, female tubular element (12) made up together by screwing. One of the tubular elements (11; 12) has a non-threaded lip (38; 5) extending between its thread and its free end and having a sealing surface (40; 7) in sealing-tight contact with the opposite surface (41; 8) of the other element after screwing together, diametric expansion, and then generation of springback forces of the first and second tubular elements. The joint has a tubular sleeve (34; 36) threaded over the second element (12) before screwing together and positioned to extend axially substantially opposite to the lip (3; 5) and, after diametric expansion, generating a springback force which is added to that of the second element in order to counteract the springback force of the first element, thus effecting at least the shrink-fitting of the tubular sleeve over the second element.

    摘要: A coating apparatus for forming a thin UV curable resin coating on threaded end portions of a steel pipe comprises a spraying unit having at least two nozzles adapted to spray the resin coating composition by pneumatic atomization toward the threaded end portion of the steel pipe, a resin supply system for supplying the resin coating composition to each nozzle, and a first nozzle support means which supports each nozzle for movement in the axial direction of the steel pipe and in the vertical direction. The two nozzles are disposed at different positions at least in the axial direction of the steel pipe at angles which are sloped such that the sprayed streams from the nozzles approach each other. The resin supply system has a regulator for maintaining the spraying air pressure of the resin coating composition in each nozzle of the spraying unit at a predetermined respective value.

    摘要: A threaded tubular connection that is leak-proof for internal and external successive pressure loads including a male element and a female element. At least one of the male or female elements includes a lip between the threading and the free end of the element. The lip includes a first zone with a peripheral surface turned towards the other element on which a first metallic sealing surface is disposed that can be radially interference fitted against a corresponding second metallic sealing surface disposed on the other element. The lip includes a second zone located axially between the first zone and the corresponding threading. The radial stiffness of the second zone is less than that of the first zone and that of a third zone adjacent to the second zone in the direction of the threading, and the second zone can be radially deformed by a pressure exerted thereon.
