An object is measured in its outer diameter by the gauge heads while being rotatably held by rollers (10a, 10b, 11a and 11b) of the arm (3) and (5).     摘要: A joint of the integral type includes a male element 1 and a female element 2 with a diameter close to that of the tubes. Each of the elements has two shifted frustoconical threaded sections 4, 5, 6, 7 with vanishing threads at the two ends, by virtue of convergences of frustoconical envelope surfaces 16, 17, 18, and 19 and cylindrical surfaces 20, 21, 22, 23. A central abutment 24 cooperates with the negative-flank threads to reinforce the male/female connection and two internal 27 and external 28 ring-shaped metal/metal tightness zones, preventing the penetration of fluid into the threaded zones from the ends. The threaded joint may be used with tubes for very deep wells for which the reduction of the diameter of the assemblies makes it possible to lower costs, and other tubes for which a problem of the same type may arise.

    摘要: During the period from the start until the completion of tightening of a pipe joint, the tightening torque applied to the pipe joint and the number of turns are sampled at prescribed intervals and stored. After the completion of tightening, a differential calculation is performed with respect to the stored data to determine the rate of change of the tightening torque with respect to the number of turns. Next, a reference value and the previously determined differentials are compared in the reverse order from storing, i.e., going backwards from the value corresponding to the completion of tightening. Based on this comparison, the stored data corresponding to the differential value which first falls below the reference value are made the tightening torque and the number of turns at the transition point, and the tightened condition is assessed based on whether the tightening torque and/or the number of turns at the transition point are in prescribed ranges.

    摘要: A threaded joint for steel pipes comprising a pin (1) and a box (2). The pin has a male thread (11) and a lip (12) which comprises (i) a sealing surface (13) and (ii) a nose portion (16) provided with a shoulder surface. The box has a female thread (21), a sealing surface (23) and a shoulder surface. The shoulder surface of the pin comprises two distinct adjacent surfaces, main shoulder (14) in the inner side and sub shoulder (15) in the outer side. Correspondingly, the shoulder surface of the box comprises two distinct adjacent surfaces, main shoulder (24) in the inner side and sub shoulder (25) in the outer side. The main shoulder surfaces of the pin and box are disposed such as to prevent a radially inward deformation of the lip end, and the sub shoulder surfaces of pin and box are disposed such as to limit a radially outward deformation of the lip end. The main shoulder of the pin has a greater radial dimension than said sub shoulder of the pin, and at least the main shoulder surface of the pin is in axial abutment with at least the corresponding main shoulder surface of the box.

The stabbing flank of the male thread is preferably chamfered.
