Abstract:
A manual device for massaging one or both of the upper and lower lids of the eye, the device comprising: a body, composed of flexible resilient biocompatible material, wherein the body provides jaws or lips, wherein the lips are biased into a spaced relationship by the material of the body, and wherein each lip is adapted to engage either the upper or lower eyelid, such that movement of the lips causes movement of at least one eyelid with respect to the other. The devices can conveniently be used to manipulate the meibomian glands of the eye in an optimum orientation, for example for alleviating or treating dry eye.
Abstract:
A vibrating device is provided, and includes a base body and a plurality of extending members. A vibrating motor is assembled in the base body. Each extending member is formed as elongated shape and includes a shaping portion and a connecting portion. The connecting portion of each extending member has a receiving groove so as to detachably connect with the base body.
Abstract:
A dual stimulating massage apparatus including a flexible massage apparatus body including a deformable middle portion having a first end in communication with a ring-shaped portion configured to be engaged to a male sexual organ and a second end in communication with a stimulator portion that defines a receptacle configured to receive a vibratory component therein is disclosed. The deformable middle portion defines a first arm and a second arm that collectively define a deformable opening, wherein when an external force is applied to the stimulator portion the deformable opening assumes a deformed configuration and when the external force is not applied to the stimulator portion the deformable opening assumes a non-deformed configuration such that an individual wearing the massage apparatus may simultaneously provide a massage effect to the wearer of the massage apparatus and the wearer's partner.
Abstract:
Skin stimulus arrangements are described for creating a stimulus in the skin in the vicinity of a treatment or wound site to alleviate the perception of pain. First and second textured surfaces are provided for making contact with the skin, with the surfaces being moved to create a stimulus which alleviates the perception of pain. The movement may be linear, rotary or a combination of both, and just a single textured surface may be provided.
Abstract:
The hair removal device includes an egg shape or oval base, an abrasive pad and means for securing the abrasive pad to the bottom of the base. An electrically driven vibrator of a given size and shape is removably attached to the top of the base by a resilient nesting member that defines a recess of substantially the same size and shape as the vibrator. The recess is adapted to receive and frictionally engage the vibrator. The vibrator has a substantially egg shape as does the recess such that the vibrator can be received in the nesting member in only one direction. The vibrator is driven by a battery thru a switch having a button actuator accessible from the exterior of the housing. The device includes a strap extending over the top surface of the base. The strap has ends attached to opposite edges of the base and is preferably integral with the base.
Abstract:
The invention provides for a backrest device having an upwardly facing convex form defined generally by upper convex surface, and which device is provided at remote ends of the undersurface thereof with feet for the floor-mounting of the device. Engagement formations are provided extending upwardly from the upper convex surface and, in a particular embodiment, each provides for a combination heating/cooling element which can be readily controlled so as to apply a healing and/or cooling effect to the musculature surrounding the human spine, the bony parts of which are readily located within a recess channel extending centrally in the longitudinal direction of the device and between respective rows of engagement formations.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for dispensing a product, comprising a container (1) for a product, on which there is mounted an application head (3) and a removable protective cap (5) which covers the head (3), the cap (5) comprising a lateral skirt (7) which is substantially in alignment with the walls of the container (1) when the cap (5) covers the application head and which has, at the free end thereof, means for fixing to the container. The device according to the invention is distinguished in that the application head (3) comprises at least one active portion (11) which is fixed to a support and which is orientated in a direction which is inclined relative to the axis of the container and whose dimensions are such that it is completely received in the cap when the cap is fixed to the container.
Abstract:
Presented is a device having a unitary body molded from synthetic resinous material and including a base member having a central mounting recess on its back side for receiving the mounting stud of a suction cup. On its front side the device is provided with a multiplicity of rows of spaced elastically resilient “prongs”, or a multiplicity of “tuft” like projections each formed of many different thin filaments, or a multiplicity of “rod” like projections the distal ends of which are semi-spherical or “rounded” and useful for applying deep massaging pressure to the skin for stimulation thereof. Integrally formed on the base member are mounting flanges having integral mounting lugs and mounting apertures for detachably interconnecting one such device to a similarly constructed adjacent device to selectively form a specifically arranged configuration or array embodying a multitude of the devices.
Abstract:
A manual device made of a soft material is composed of a top face and a bottom face forming an intermediate space that is embodied so as to accommodate at least one hand. At least two separate openings are provided for the fingers of the hand while areas on which stimulation zones are configured are designed at least in the area of the palm and the fingers. Also disclosed are a stimulation method and the use.
Abstract:
An attachment for a dermal resurfacing tool. A cap has a wall defining a volume and a porous mass attached thereto. The cap may engage a head of the tool.
