In various aspects, a selection of a fantasy roster for a first game period can be received from a fantasy sports participant. The fantasy roster can include one or more selected real players selected by the fantasy sports participant from a pool of eligible real players who are eligible for use by the fantasy sports participant during the first game period. Statistics representative of performance of the selected real players during the first game period can be recorded and a total season score for the fantasy sports participant can be adjusted based on the recorded statistics. The pool of eligible real players for use by the fantasy sports participant during a second game period that follows the first period can be updated by deleting the selected real players from the pool.

    摘要: An interactive video game is provided on a video gaming system in which one or more sports teams having individual players compete in a simulated sporting event that has a set of rules enforceable by an official. A method of operating the video game includes allowing a user to control the actions of the official in enforcing the set of rules by manipulating a controller to provide input data, processing the input data and comparing the input data against a reference set of appropriate actions of the official, and assigning a performance grade to the user based on the comparison of the input data against said reference set of appropriate actions of the official. In this manner, the officiating skills of the user may be evaluated against a reference set of appropriate officiating calls or rulings involving the actions of the individuals in the simulated sporting event.

The notifications are based on items of data received from an item generator, which is typically a server process that communicates with the agent via a network. The alert agent may suggest alternative fantasy team roster lineups and, if the user accepts a suggestion, the agent may change the lineup. Each notification includes a call to action feature, such as a web link, which a user can select to perform an action, such as accepting a trade or changing the team's roster. The notifications may be displayed on a user's computer screen by the alert agent, or by an RSS reader or electronic mail reader.
