    摘要: A system and method are provided to determine in order, what mailing pieces are eligible for Flat Sequence Sorter (FSS) preparation, determine applicable prices of the pieces, and prepare bundles of the pieces to conform to the expected USPS output. By orderly implementing a filtering operation wherein FSS and Non-FSS pieces are first identified, followed by a pricing operation for groups with a very granular level (HDP) and the best price, to groups with a very coarse level (3D), and then creating bundles, pallets or containers, sacks, trays or handling units, of the FSS and Non-FSS pieces based thereon, the system and method identifies the best possible pricing for a mailing, while ensuring that the final mailing is compliant with U.S. Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual, Section 705.

    摘要: A device for unloading a container having a removal opening has a rotatably mounted supporting surface mounted to turn around a first turning axis, a rotatably mounted retaining means, and a synchronizing means. The unloading device causes a container on the supporting surface to tilt so that the removal opening of the tilted container points obliquely or vertically downwards. The retaining means prevent an article inside the tilted container from moving linearly through the removal opening. The retaining means is mounted to turn around a second turning axis. The synchronizing means is configured for synchronizing turning of the supporting surface around the first turning axis, wherein the retaining means turns around the second turning axis. The synchronized turning of the supporting surface and retaining means causes the container standing on the supporting surface to tilt such that the removal opening of the tilted container points obliquely or vertically downwards.

    摘要: A storage module for flat postal items includes a storage area, an infeed function to transfer postal items from a stream of postal items into the storage area, and an extraction function to extract postal items from the storage area. The infeed and extraction function have a common roller conveyor unit and a feed stop. The infeed function guides the postal items in a direction of travel of the roller conveyor unit from the roller conveyor against the feed stop for a transfer into the storage area. The extraction function extracts the last stacked postal item from the storage area in the direction of travel of the roller conveyor unit through an extraction opening. The storage area includes a separating knife to exert a first pressure and a second pressure.
