Abstract:
A piston cylinder device (1) comprising a cylinder (2) with a first and a second end and a guide (6), such that a pressure chamber (8) is formed in the cylinder. A piston (12) is moveable in the pressure chamber (8). The guide (6) is fixedly secured to the cylinder (2) by a lock ring (7). A sealing means (9) is arranged to seal between the guide (6) and an inner wall of a tubular wall (3) of the cylinder (2) to prevent fluid leakage from the pressure chamber (8) to the surroundings. The piston cylinder device (1) is provided with a material weakening zone (13) arranged in the inner wall of the tubular wall (3) of the cylinder (2) axially between the lock ring (7) and the second end (20) of the cylinder (2), the material weakening zone (13) being arranged to be deformed or sheared against the lock ring (7) at a predetermined level of impact of the piston (12) against the guide (6). A leakage gap (14) is arranged to interrupt the sealing means (9) upon deformation or shearing of the material weakening zone (13) such that gas from the pressure chamber (8) is allowed to leave the pressure chamber (8) through said leakage gap (14) to the surroundings.
Abstract:
A controllable force cushion device that can be programmed to provide a variable and/or pulsating force that can be used in any application where force control is desirable. The frequency of the pulsation can be adjusted to suit different applications and/or circumstances (e.g., forming of sheet metals in die applications, etc.). The cushion can comprise one or more manifolds containing hydraulic cylinders that can be compressed during operation pushing fluid through a proportional relief valve that can be controlled by a motion control device, thereby creating a desired force. Material (e.g., sheet metal, etc.) flow can be controlled by using a gap control method. In use, the variable pulsating, gap control, auto-learning press cushion device of the present invention can optionally be mounted to the underside of a press bolster and can be used in conjunction with a stamping press.
Abstract:
According to the die cushion apparatus of a press machine and the die cushion controlling method of the present invention, in holding the cushion pad on standby at a desired standby position, it is possible to hold the cushion pad on standby in parallel with the lower faces of the dies mounted to the slide, and if the lower faces of the dies are inclined, it is possible to hold the cushion pad on standby in the state of being inclined. Through this configuration, it is possible to easily allow the material to come into contact with the lower faces of the dies from the beginning of the die cushion force control (beginning of the collision), and also possible to smoothen the die cushion action in the plane, thereby enhancing the formability.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a servo press system and a drawing method using the servo press system. The drawing method according to the aspect of the present invention includes: a stopping step of stopping the slide for a first period in a course of a stroke for performing drawing; a keeping step of reducing the die cushion force to below a predetermined die cushion force and keeping the die cushion force for a second period within the first period for which the slide is stopped; and a restarting step of restarting the slide after keeping the die cushion force for the second period, wherein drawing including the stopping step, the keeping step, and the restarting step is performed at least one time in the course of the stroke for performing drawing.
Abstract:
A die cushion device of a press machine includes: a plurality of cushion pads; a plurality of die cushion force generators that supports the plurality of respective cushion pads, and that is capable of independently moving up and down the plurality of respective cushion pads as well as independently generating die cushion force for each of the cushion pads; and a die cushion controller that controls the plurality of die cushion force generators to independently move up and down the plurality of respective cushion pads as well as to independently generate die cushion force for each of the cushion pads.
Abstract:
A cushion pin device for a press having a cushion pad in which a blank holder is seated on the top thereof outside a lower mold, and locks a blank holder to an upper mold while pressurizing an edge of a molded panel, includes: a cushion support disposed below the cushion pad, a cushion cylinder connected with a lower part of the cushion pad to move up or down the cushion pad from the cushion support, a linear scale mounted between the cushion pad and the cushion support to measure the position of the cushion pad, a main pressure control unit that keeps internal pressure of each cushion cylinder similarly, and a sub pressure control unit that is interconnected with the main pressure control unit so as to control the locking position of the cushion pad when each cushion cylinder operates.
Abstract:
A load-applying device of a press-forming die includes a rod which includes a first end, a second end, and a flange, a lamination coned disc spring in which a plurality of coned disc springs having a center hole, to which the first end of the rod is inserted, are laminated, a first plate which includes a first through hole to which the first end of the rod is inserted and abuts the lamination coned disc spring, a second plate which includes a second through hole to which the second end of the rod is inserted and abuts the flange; and a gap fixing member which is detachably provided between the first plate and the second plate and fixes a gap between the first plate and the second plate so as to maintain the gap by which the lamination coned disc spring biases the flange to the second plate. The second end and the first plate relatively move in a mutually approaching direction during press-forming, and the lamination coned disc spring is compressed.
Abstract:
An assembly includes a die and a punch which cut a hole in a workpiece. The die has a base wall having outer and inner surfaces and a passageway extending therethrough, and a wall extending from the base wall. The inner surface of the base wall has at least one portion which is angled relative to a central axis of the die. The punch includes a body having a bore therethrough, a leading edge on the body which is capable of piercing and cutting a workpiece, and cutting edges on the body for cutting a hole in the workpiece. The leading edge has inclined surfaces between the bore and the piercing points which engage with the portion of the inner surface of the die.
Abstract:
There is provided a useful method for producing a press-formed product without making the structure of a press tool complicated, which product has favorable formability in a level so as to be able to be produced by deep drawing, and which product is produced by press-forming a thin steel sheet with a punch and a die, in which the thin steel sheet is heated to a temperature not lower than an Ac3 transformation point thereof, and the press-forming is then started, wherein the forming is carried out so that a temperature difference in the thin steel sheet is adjusted to be not higher than 200° C. at a stage when the thin steel sheet has reached one third of a forming height.
Abstract:
