The method includes steps of: heating a steel bar, performing busting such that the heated steel bar is disposed in a cavity of a mold to be produced as a first intermediate shape of a crankshaft, performing brokering such that the first intermediate shape is produced as a second intermediate shape, performing finishing such that the second intermediate shape is produced as a third intermediate shape, performing trimming such that the third intermediate shape is produced as a complete shape of the crankshaft by cutting portions other than the shape of the crankshaft, and performing punching such that holes are formed in the complete shape of the crankshaft.

    摘要: An assembly includes a die and a punch which cut a hole in a workpiece. The die has a base wall having outer and inner surfaces and a passageway extending therethrough, and a wall extending from the base wall. The inner surface of the base wall has at least one portion which is angled relative to a central axis of the die. The punch includes a body having a bore therethrough, a leading edge on the body which is capable of piercing and cutting a workpiece, and cutting edges on the body for cutting a hole in the workpiece. The leading edge has inclined surfaces between the bore and the piercing points which engage with the portion of the inner surface of the die.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for producing a hole in any material by means of controlled fracturing using non-rotary machining includes the steps of fixturing a workpiece to the table of a non-rotary holemaking machine tool (103). The cutting tool is then fixtured to the column of the machine tool (105) and the face of the cutting tool is positioned perpendicular to the centerline of the proposed hole (107). The surface of the workpiece is approached with the cutting tool to a predetermined clearance level (109). Thereafter, the cutting tool is driven with sufficient force to induce instantaneous strain in the material of the workpiece to a depth necessary (111) to create a hole of a desired size and shape using a drive mechanism (113). The cutting tool is then repositioned so that the face of cutting tool is perpendicular to centerline of a subsequent hole to be produced (117).
