摘要： A feed/discharge insert for transporting goods at an acute angle with respect to a main conveyor belt. The insert includes an endless loop conveyor belt having an upper segment and a lower segment. Two rigid deflection bars are positioned one above the other parallel to the main conveyor belt. The two bare are solid with a polygonal, or preferably hexagonal, cross-sections. The upper and lower segments are guided and deflected about the two rigid bars. The endless loop conveyor belt is looped around a cylindrical drive drum of a belt drive. The endless loop conveyor belt contacts the drive drum about at least 180.degree. of its circumference. An adjustable deflection roller is used to vary the degree of contact between the endless loop conveyor belt and the drive drum. The invention also comprises a central station for limiting the lateral run-off of the conveyor belt.

The apparatus includes a belt support and at least one lifter connected to the belt support. The lifter operatively supports the belt support from the conveyor system frame and provides mechanical advantage in raising the belt support to lift at least one portion of the belt relative to the conveyor system, thereby separating the belt portion from at least one of the conveyor system rollers and freeing the roller.

摘要： A pivotal idler frame assembly for conveyors is disclosed in one preferred embodiment of the present invention as including an idler frame assembly selectively disposed in a pivotal relationship to a stationary conveyor frame. The idler frame assembly consists of a hinge member rotatably engaging at least two fixation members of the idler frame assembly and at least two support flanges of the conveyor frame which are correspondingly disposed in alignment with the fixation members. By releasing the operable engagement of a stabilizer member, the idler frame assembly may be pivoted in relation to the conveyor frame to remove the rollers of the idler frame from communication with a moving member. In addition, the structural hinge member provides means for slideably removing the idler frame assembly from beneath the moving member and adjacent the conveyor frame to expose the rollers of the idler frame assembly for dismounting and mounting.

In the case where the flexible conveyor belt is mainly made of rubber, a trough index T (JIS K6322) which is obtained as a ratio of a deflection amount F to a width x of the belt is equal to or greater than 0.35. More strictly, it is preferable to set the thickness y (mm) and the width x (mm) of the belt to satisfy the relationship of y.ltoreq.0.143+6.486.times.10.sup.-3 x+7.904.times.10.sup.-6 x.sup.2. In the case where the flexible conveyor belt is made mainly of a resin, the trough index is equal to or greater than 0.30. The conveyor belts have sufficient flexibility.

The track further includes a guide channel having sidewalls that engage a guide member that is in fixed positional alignment, for example, with a carrier and/or belt. The guide member includes a linear portion that is engaged by the track when the guide member is disposed along the linear section of the track while being generally disengaged from the track when the guide member is disposed along the curved section of the track. The guide member further includes a curved section that engages the sidewalls of the guide channel when the guide member is disposed along the curved section of the track. The radius of curvature of the curved portion of the guide member generally coincides with the radius of curvature of the track about a curved portion of the track.

摘要： A skirt seal impact bracket for supporting a conveyor belt idler which improves the impact characteristics of a suspension type idler by enabling the idlers to yield under the force of material being loaded thereonto and thereby protects the idler from undue stress and extends the life of the same. The skirt seal bracket includes a mounting assembly for the bearings of the first and second ends of a belt conveyor idler so as to allow arced pivoting of each bearing of the idler about a point substantially corresponding to a contact point of a trough skirt seal and a belt conveyed by the idler. In this manner, downward movement of a central portion of the idler in response to a load impinging thereon causes the pivoting of each of the bearings about the point of contact of the trough skirt seal and the belt. Further, a structure for limiting such pivoting and downward movement is provided. Finally, a configuration for urging the idler to return toward a pre-loaded position is provided for returning the idler following such impact.

摘要： An arrangement on a conveyor of the type which comprises a flexible chain whereupon objects, e.g. parallelepipedic packing containers, are conveyed. The conveyor comprises guide rails (4) located on either side of the chain (1) which steer the packing container. In curves the guide rails are substituted on the one side by a curve disc (5) having a sloping steering surface (8) which acts upon the packing container outwards against the guide rails located on the opposite side of the conveyor. As a result packing containers of different sizes can be conveyed on the conveyor without the conveyor needing adjustment.
