Abstract:
Disclosed is an optical sheet with an adhesive layer, which has excellent adhesion, excellent aggregability and excellent long-term durability, and wherein an adhesive layer part does not fill recesses and projections over time, said recesses and projections having been formed by processing. Specifically, an optical sheet with an adhesive layer is produced by arranging an adhesive layer on a recessed and projected surface of an optical film which has been subjected to processing for forming recesses and projections. In addition, the optical sheet with an adhesive layer is bonded to various light sources or image display elements, thereby obtaining light sources or image display devices that have improved light extraction efficiency without changing the designs of the light sources or image display elements, while securing uniform light emission and improving viewing angles especially in devices that comprises the image display elements.
Abstract:
An electrode tape, a solar module and methods for manufacturing the same are disclosed. The electrode tape includes an adhesive film and a conductive structure. The adhesive film includes a first adhesive surface and a second adhesive surface which faces an opposite direction to the first adhesive surface. The conductive structure is embedded in the adhesive film with a first contact point exposed on the first adhesive surface and a second contact point exposed on the second adhesive surface. The solar module includes a first solar cell and a second solar cell which are electrically connected with each other through the electrode tape.
Abstract:
There is herein described an improved adhesive sheeted roll. More particularly, there is described an improved adhesive sheeted roll and individual sheets making up the sheeted roll which contain no silicones.
Abstract:
Methods of making adhesive articles providing air egress by supplying a route for the air to flow out from under the construction are described. One method includes providing a release liner comprising a moldable layer having a release surface and a back surface; applying a first pattern of a first non-adhesive material to a first portion of the release surface; applying a second pattern of a second non-adhesive material to a second portion of the release surface, wherein the second pattern partially overlaps the first pattern; embedding at least one of the first or second non-adhesive materials into the moldable layer; and transferring an adhesive layer having a front and back surface and end edges onto the release liner, wherein the front surface of the adhesive layer is adhered to the release surface of the release liner.
Abstract:
This invention relates to an adhesive article which provides air egress. Air egress is provided by supplying a mute, such as areas of no initial adhesion for the air to flow out from under the construction. The invention relates to an adhesive article comprising a facestock having a front surface and a back surface, a continuous layer of adhesive having an upper surface and a lower surface wherein the upper surface of the adhesive layer is adhered to the back surface of the facestock, and a plurality of spaced-apart non-adhesive material which is in contact with the lower surface of the adhesive layer wherein the lower surface of the adhesive layer has a Sheffield roughness of at least about 10 and the adhesive article provides air egress. The invention also relates to methods of preparing the adhesive articles, These articles have usefulness as industrial graphics images, as well as decorative coverings, etc. The articles provide air egress and optionally repositionability and slideability.
Abstract:
A method of selectively applying pressure-sensitive adhesive to a nonwoven web and thereby forming a cleaning sheet having adhesive free peaks and adhesive containing valleys includes coating an adhesive transfer roll with adhesive, transferring a portion of the adhesive to raised regions of a female pattern forming roll, separating the adhesive between the adhesive transfer roll and the female pattern forming roll, and transferring the adhesive from the raised regions of the female pattern forming roll to the web. An apparatus for selectively applying pressure-sensitive adhesive to a nonwoven web and forming a cleaning sheet is also described.
Abstract:
An adherent sheet material and method of making including at least one adhesive, non-raised region protected from inadvertent adherence to a contact surface. This adherent sheet material also including a film having a front face and back face, wherein the front face has a plurality of collapsible, non-adhesive protrusions extending outwardly from the front face and adhesive, non-raised region disposed between the protrusions. Also, a substrate is bonded to the back face of film. An adherent sheet material including a contact adhesive protected from inadvertent adherence to a contact surface. This adherent sheet material also including a film having a front face and back face, wherein the front face has a plurality of collapsible, non-adhesive protrusions extending outwardly from the front face and adhesive, non-raised region disposed between the protrusions. The film also includes a number density of protrusions from about 50 protrusions per square inch of the film to about 150 protrusions per square inch of the film. Also, the contact adhesive is disposed upon non-raised regions.
