Abstract:
Detergents for use with hard water consist of one or more cleansing agents and a compound of tetra-phosphoric acid (H6P4O13), e.g. sodium tetraphosphate. Cleansing agents specified are alkyl sulphonates, sodium bisulphite, sodium hypochlorite, oxalic acid with or without sodium sulphate, and sodium or potassium soap which may or may not contain free fatty acid, borax, ammonium compounds, orthophosphates, soda ash, and rosin. Specification 8197/01, [Class 28], is referred to.
Abstract:
A sanitizing formulation is disclosed for use as a hand sanitizer. The formulation may include hypochlorous acid, a silicone polymer or blend thereof, sodium phosphate, hydrochloric acid, and sodium magnesium silicate. Methods of using and making the sanitizing formulation are also disclosed.
Abstract:
This invention relates to extend the benefits of using hypochlorite compounds such as sodium hypochlorite to clean and disinfect articles while reducing or eliminating the side effects of treating an article with a strong oxidant material. The invention relates to a single step process involving mixing of precursor compositions of a suitable hypohalite or hypohalous acid with a solution of a reducing agent. Optionally a boiler may be present in either or both precursor compositions, such that at time of use such active hypohalous acid concentration, in the resulting aqueous mixture remains at a sufficient activity level to effect one or more desired benefits against a target substrate for a desired period of time. The oxidant is substantially consumed by reaction with the reducing agent after the time needed for achieving the desired benefit has passed.
Abstract:
The invention relates to fluid washing or cleaning products which are present as combination products comprising a packaging means and at least two fluid washing or cleaning compositions A and B that are located in said packaging means and that are separate from each other, wherein the two compositions A and B comprise A: 10 to 75 wt % of builder material(s); 0.1 to 10 wt % of enzyme preparation; 24.9 to 89.9 wt % of water; and B: less than 0.1 wt % of enzyme preparation; 0.5 to 90 wt % of water and at least one further ingredient of washing or cleaning products, and which fluid washing or cleaning products have an improved stability if the viscosity of the compositions A and B is above 1500 mPas.

Abstract:
A solid calcium hypochliorite composition comprising a mixture of: solid calcium hypochlorite; a scale-inhibiting effective amount of a primarily scale-inhibiting alkali metal phosphate; and an effective residue-dispersing amount of primarily residue-dispersing alkali metal phosphate.
Abstract:
Automatic dishwasher detergent composition is formulated as a linear viscoelastic, pseudoplastic, gel-like aqueous product of exceptionally good physical stability, low bottle residue, low cup leakage, and improved cleaning performance as well as the composition not substantially adhering to or wetting the interior surface of a polyolefinic bottle. Linear viscoelasticity and pseudoplastic behavior is attributed by incorporation of at least one cross-linked high molecular weight polyacrylic acid type thickener. Potassium to sodium weight ratios of at least 1/1 minimize amount of undissolved solid particles further contribute to the stability and pourability or the composition. Control of incorporated air bubbles functions to provide the product with a bulk density of about 1.35 to 1.40 g/cc which roughly corresponds to the density of the liquid phase. Stearic acid or other fatty acid or salt further improve physical stability.

Abstract:
Highly alkaline detergent compositions are prepared by mixing together, in a mixing device, a melt of alkaline material with a heat-alkaline sensitive material, such as, an alkali metal complex phosphate sequestrant and/or an active-chlorine source. The resulting mixture is, then, pelletized on a chill belt. Because of the short contact time between the molten alkaline material and the sequestrant and the rapid solidification, reversion of the sequestrant, particularly, a phosphate sequestrant, is substantially reduced.
