    摘要: A water pump is driven by a driving force generated by an internal combustion engine, and generates a larger driving force as a pressure introduced into a pressure chamber becomes higher. The pressure chamber is connected to a VSV through a first passage. A portion of an intake passage, which is located downstream of a throttle valve, is connected to the VSV through a second passage. An atmospheric pressure space is connected to the VSV through a third passage. In the VSV, the volume of wax in a temperature-sensitive case is increased to increase the ratio of the cross sectional area of an opening portion of the third passage, which is connected to the first passage, to the cross sectional area of an opening portion of the second passage, which is connected to the first passage, as the temperature of a coolant for the internal combustion engine increases.

The circulation pump is adapted to pump liquid from the vessel through the first conduit and deliver liquid through the supply conduit to the exit port. The diverter valve is adapted to change a rate of flow of liquid supplied to the exit port.

    摘要: Fuel management in a boiling-water nuclear reactor involves arranging fuel bundles in upper and lower matrices of the reactor core. During a refueling operation, some bundles in the upper matrix are removed and retired, while fresh bundles are inserted in the lower matrix and some bundles originally in the lower matrix are transferred to the upper matrix. In the transfer, fuel bundles are inverted so that included fuel rods in the lower matrix have their plenums oriented downward, while fuel rods in the upper matrix have their plenums oriented upward. This method provides greater flexibility in repositioning fuel bundles for longer burnups and lower high-level waste. In particular, problems with axial spectral variations in neutron flux can be compensated for using the disclosed refueling procedure.

The coolant circulation system includes a coolant supplying header and a coolant collecting header, where the coolant supplying header supplies a coolant to the first intercooler and the second intercooler, and the coolant collecting header collects the coolant from the first intercooler and the second intercooler. The at least one throttle valve regulates a coolant flow discharged by one of the first intercooler or the second intercooler prior to entering the coolant collecting header.
