    Abstract: A scenario execution system includes a scenario execution terminal, a log management device, and a storage device. The scenario execution terminal includes a scenario execution unit and an event notification unit. The scenario execution unit executes a scenario file having a scenario indicating a procedure of operations in the scenario execution terminal described therein. The event notification unit notifies the log management device of information on an event generated by the scenario execution unit executing the scenario file. The log management device includes a log recording unit that receives the information on the event from the scenario execution terminal and records log data having the received information on the event set therein on the storage device. The storage device adds, to the log data, information uniquely generated on the basis of log data recorded before such log data and stores resultant log data.

    Abstract: A file system is implemented in a system comprising an anonymous-write storage device. A request for a file system operation that comprises semantics of the file system to receiving the request is received. The file system translates the file system operation to one or more commands that effect the file system operation while maintaining consistency with operation of the anonymous-write storage device. The one or more commands comprise one or more of updating file system metadata, sending a request to the anonymous-write storage device, or receiving a response from the anonymous-write storage device. The anonymous-write storage device is configured to write data in an append-only format and determine locations of data write operations agnostic of input of a write location from the file system. Metadata is updated to indicate results of the file system operation.

    Abstract: A system and method are presented that utilize separate append-only arrays to track metadata and real data for a file. All modifications to the file result in metadata records being appended to the end of the metadata array. Write modification commands cause real data to be appended to the file data array. The location of real data on the file data array is identified by a record in the metadata array. Modification commands can be grouped into sets, which complete as a set. Modification sets can rely upon the completeness of prior sets. Read-like commands cause the creation of a virtual array based upon the records of the metadata array. The created virtual array has the same size as the actual file but does not contain the real data for the file. Rather, the virtual file array maps to the actual data stored in the file data array.
