摘要: A transaction system includes a card-shaped electronic bankbook and a transaction device. The electronic bankbook includes an IC chip encapsulated in an insulating card substrate and composed of a CPU and data memories display, a key switch including keys for instructing transaction data items and switching display data, a power supply, and an interface for receiving or delivering a signal on transactions from or to a transaction device. The system has a crime prevention function where transactions are made invalid if identification information on the electronic bankbook is erronesouly entered in repetition over the prescribed number of times into the transactin system of the electronic bankbook.

摘要: An IC card system in which either an on-line transaction or an off-line transaction can be made by using an IC card. The IC card contains a memory for storing the data about every transaction made by using the IC card. Whenever an on-line transaction is made, the data about every off-line transaction previously made is read from the memory and then transferred to a host computer. Further, whenever the number of continuously performed off-line transactions becomes greater than a predetermined value, no further off-line transactions will be prohibited.

摘要: A data compaction method, for writing data in highly compact binary form in a data storage medium using a microprocessor, compresses serially occurring transaction values in a limited memory space by substituting prefix codes for previously occurring values and for commonly occurring previous values. The previous values are listed and updated on tables by the microprocessor so that they are indexed to the prefix codes adaptively to changing local values and changing common values over time. The data compaction method is particularly suitable for an account card having a limited, non-erasable memory used in an automated transaction terminal for maintaining an account record of transactions in frequently recurring amounts. A postage metering terminal is operated by the account card, in which an initial balance has been written and each purchase of postage is recorded. A current balance is recomputed by parsing the previously recorded data. If the current balance is sufficient, the requested value is recorded in compressed form in the card memory, and the terminal is operated to print or dispense the requested postage.

摘要: An IC card includes an integrated circuit composed of a transmitter/receiver, a processor, a memory, and a display controller, a display, and control switches for successively switching data displayed on the display. Desired data stored in the memory can be displayed on the display by a command delivered through the transmitter/receiver or by actuation of the control switches. An IC card reader for reading the IC card includes signal transmitting and receiving circuits for transmitting signals to and receiving signals from the IC card, and a control unit for displaying the stored data on the display of the IC card in dependance upon the processed results.

摘要: (1.) An electronic checkbook consisting of:(A.) a dedicated microprocessor which continues to perform a specific function and store the information on a day to day basis, even when not otherwise in use,(B.) Checks.(C.) Checking stubs with numbers corresponding to the checks upon which can be kept handwritten records of the balance, checks written, and deposits made.(D.) Checking account deposit slips.(E.) A folder containing all of the above .In regards to the dedicated microprocessor, four high priority routines are present which are able to interrupt the main program:(1.) When the "STOP" position is selected, it halts the processor and turns off the display.(2.) Depressing the "CLEAR" button will clear the display and second register if not in "STOP".(3.) When the "REMOVE PROTECT" button is depressed, the contents of the memory effectively become zero, if not in "STOP".(4.) When the "POST BALANCE" button is depressed, the contents of the display are added to the contents of memory, if not in "STOP". When the unit is set at "START" the contents of the memory will appear in the display.

摘要: An integrated selling system platform includes a point-of-sale application and middleware to perform global tokenization orchestration, that in combination, provide credit card reading device agnostic global token and provisioning operations. The middleware includes communication interfaces, each of which corresponds to a particular communication protocol. The middleware receives a token create request from the point of sale application and directly communicates, via one of the communication protocols, to a point-of-interaction payment device, to receive and securely encrypt the credit card number, then transmit that information to a hosted network token provisioning system to request a network token. Upon receiving the network token, the middleware communicates directly, via one or more protocols, to a global merchant tokenization host, to create a merchant specific token, to be returned by the middleware back to the point-of-sale client to use as a card-on-file payment method.

摘要: Systems and methods for intelligent threat detection and prevention in point-of-sale terminals are disclosed. According to an embodiment, a method for intelligent threat detection and prevention in point-of-sale terminals may include: (1) receiving, by a backend computer program and from a threat collector agent executed on a point-of-sale terminal for a merchant, merchant behavioral activity involving a payment application executed by the point-of-sale terminal that was captured by the threat collector agent; (2) identifying, by the backend computer program, fraud or a threat from the merchant behavioral activity by providing the merchant behavioral activity to a trained merchant behavioral threat modeler; and (3) executing, by the backend computer program, a preventative action in response to the identified fraud or threat.
