A plurality of rolling elements are arranged in a ring-shaped region between the inner ring and the outer ring with a gap in a circumferential direction, and a plurality of rolling element pockets hold the rolling elements in a rollable manner at regular intervals from one another. A holder having a grease pocket of concave shape is placed between the rolling element pockets and stores grease serving as a lubricant of the rolling elements. The grease consists of at least a base oil comprised of aromatic carbon and a thickener, the content of the aromatic hydrocarbon being 70 weight % or more of the grease.

    摘要: A tolerance ring is disclosed and can include a generally cylindrical body having a sidewall. The sidewall can include a first unformed section and a gap in the first unformed section. The gap can extend along an entire length of the body to establish a split in the body. The sidewall can also include a second unformed section opposite the first unformed section, a first wave bank flanking the first unformed section with the gap, and a second wave bank flanking the first unformed section with the gap. The wave banks can be equally spaced around a circumference of the body of the tolerance ring and the body of the tolerance ring can be symmetrical about a center axis that extends from a center of the tolerance ring and bisects the gap in the first unformed section.

    摘要: An apparatus and associated method for orienting a workpiece during processing. A fixture supports the workpiece adjacent a noncontacting biaser. At least one of the fixture and the biaser are selectively movable in a first direction with respect to the other. The biaser directs a first magnetic force capable of moving the workpiece relative to the fixture in a different second direction without physical contact between the biaser and the workpiece during a travel path segment of movement between the fixture and the biaser. The biaser further directs a second magnetic force capable of moving the workpiece relative to the fixture in a third direction, that is different than the second direction, without physical contact between the biaser and the workpiece during a subportion of the travel path segment of movement between the fixture and the biaser.

    摘要: Components and assemblies for a hard disk drive (HDD) with a recessed actuator joint are described. A rotary actuator hub assembly comprises a shaft having a flange, and a pivot seat on which the flange is seated when the shaft is fastened to an HDD chassis. According to an embodiment, the pivot seat has at least one “contact-reducing feature” recessed from the surface of the pivot seat at which the seat contacts the flange. A purpose of the contact-reducing feature(s) of the pivot seat is to weaken the joint between the actuator hub assembly and the chassis, thereby mechanically loosening the rotary actuator assembly from the chassis. Consequently, movements to and vibrations from the chassis are less likely to be transmitted to the rotary actuator assembly and, ultimately, to the HDD read/write head(s).

    摘要: An arm coil assembly includes a drive arm having at least two grounding pins formed on a mounting region thereof and a voice coil fixed on the tailing end of the drive arm for controlling the drive arm. The grounding pins are provided for electrically connecting with a flexible printed cable assembly by extending through at least two mounting holes formed on the flexible printed cable assembly. Each grounding pin has a slot formed thereon to clamp the flexible printed cable assembly. The arm coil assembly of the present invention having grounding pins with slot structure to clamp the flexible printed cable assembly which is mounted on the drive arm to form an arm flexible cable assembly, thus, the flexible printed cable assembly can be pre-mounted onto the arm coil assembly without using any additional fixtures or tools, therefore simplifying the mounting process and reducing the manufacturing cost thereof. The invention also discloses an arm flexible cable assembly and a disk drive unit including the same.
