The system may include a transmitter configured to transmit a message, the message having appended to it an interference signal and a receiver configured to receive the message from the transmitter. The receiver may also include a singular value decomposition filter receiver into which the message is input, the singular value decomposition filter receiver configured to use singular value decomposition data from the interference signal to recover the message from the transmitter while substantially eliminating the interference signal. The interference signal may be co-channel with the message and/or the interference signal may be dominant to the message.

Demodulating the received signal includes calculating distances between (i) each transmit symbol in the received signal and (ii) expected symbol values, wherein each expected symbol value corresponds to user data for multiple users including the first user and the second user. The method for providing interference information performed in a base station comprise obtaining information about at least one intra-cell interference signal interfering desired signals of a victim terminal, and transferring the information about at least one intra-cell interference signal to the victim terminal. In the method, the information about at least one intra-cell interference signal may include either information related to generation of reference signal for the at least one intra-cell interference signal or frequency resource allocation information and precoding matrix indicator (PMI) allocation information for the at least one intra-cell interference signal. Thus, the victim terminal may operate an advanced receiver based on the received information thereby canceling interferences efficiently.
