A color wheel rotates and disperses the beam from lamp into each of the color components, such that the electric power supplied to the lamp is controlled at different levels for each segment of the color wheel and the power feeding device control part finds the mean electric power by sampling the electric power supplied.

    摘要: A light source system includes two solid-state light sources, two filters, a rotary wheel, a first reflector, a second reflector and a multiband filter is provided. The rotary wheel has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The two solid-state light sources and the two filters are disposed in front of the first surface. The first surface includes a first waveband converting region, a reflecting region and a transmission region. The second surface includes a second waveband converting region is symmetrical to the first waveband converting region. The first reflector, the second reflector and the multiband filter are disposed in front of the second surface. Furthermore, the multiband filter is disposed between and optically coupled with the first and the second reflectors. With these arrangements, the light source system could provide light beams of different wavebands to the light valve of a projector.

    摘要: An illumination system includes a coherent light source, a phosphor switching module, a beam combining unit and a diffusion switching module. The coherent light source emits a coherent light beam. The phosphor switching module includes a light passing section and a first phosphor reflecting section. The light passing section and first phosphor reflecting section are switched into a transmission path of the coherent light beam by turns. The first phosphor reflecting section converts and reflects the coherent light beam into a first color beam. The beam combining unit combines the coherent light beam passing through the light passing section and the first color light beam. The diffusion switching module includes a light diffusion section and a first light permeable section to be switched into the transmission paths of the coherent light beam and the first color light beam by turns. A projection apparatus is also disclosed.

The illumination system comprises a light source comprising a first light-emitting unit (50) and a second light-emitting unit each emitting light towards a light output window (110). The illumination system comprises the color wheel including a spoke (40) between two adjacent color segments. The system is configured to prevent the spoke when transiting the optical path (80) between the light source and the light output window to simultaneously transit a first optical path between the first light-emitting unit and the light output window and a second optical path between the second light-emitting unit and the light output window. The illumination system further comprises a drive unit (92) which is configured for switching off the first light-emitting unit during a time interval (p1) when the spoke transits the first optical path.

    摘要: A multicolor illumination device uses a blue or UV light source to excite wavelength conversion materials and a red light source as a direct illumination light. The lights from the two light sources are combined onto a moving wavelength conversion element. The moving wavelength conversion element includes multiple segments alternatingly disposed in the paths of the incident lights, including a first segment with no wavelength conversion material, and other segments which may carry blue, green and/or yellow wavelength conversion materials. A control system controls the on/off of the two light sources so that when the first segment is in the light path, the red light source is on and the blue/UV light source is off, and vice versa when the other segments are in the light path. Alternatively, dichroic filters may be fixedly provided on the segments of the wavelength conversion element to block the blue/UV or red light.
