摘要: A light-source device includes an excitation light source, an optical member, and a wavelength converter. The excitation light source is configured to emit first color light. The optical member has a reflecting surface configured to reflect the first color light emitted from the excitation light source. The wavelength converter includes a wavelength conversion member on which the first color light reflected by the optical member is incident. The wavelength conversion member is configured to convert at least part of the first color light into second color light having a wavelength different from a wavelength of the first color light and emit the second color light. A center of the first color light on the reflecting surface of the optical member does not intersect with a light flux of the first color light emitted from the wavelength converter.

The illumination optical system separately includes: an optical element of a first system configured to uniformize an intensity distribution of one of the laser lights and guide resultant laser light to the display element; and an optical element of a second system configured to uniformize an intensity distribution of another of the laser lights and guide resultant laser light to the display element.

摘要: A chromaticity adjusting method of a projector includes a first light source for emitting blue light and a second light source for emitting yellow light including red light and green light. A chromaticity value of the blue light is acquired and the chromaticity value and the luminance value of each of the red light and the green light is obtained. The second target chromaticity value is determined based on the first target chromaticity value, the chromaticity value of the blue light, and the chromaticity value and the luminance value of each of the red light and the green light. Light quantities of the first and second light sources are controlled based on the second target chromaticity value. Signal levels of the red, green, and blue color components included in the video signal are controlled according to the difference between the first target chromaticity value and the second target chromaticity value.

摘要: A display device may include a projector coupled to volume Bragg grating (VBG) based pupil-replicating lightguide. The projector may be a scanning projector or a display panel based projector. A lighting unit for the display panel may have spatially variant spectral composition selected to match angular and wavelength selectivity of the VBGs of the pupil-replicating lightguide, thereby improving light utilization efficiency of the display device. In scanning projector implementations, the center wavelength of the scanned light beam may be varied in coordination with the scanning, to achieve the same effect.

In the second sub-time interval, the second optical functional region guides the laser beam to a second position with a second optical path, wherein the second position is different from the first position. The projection apparatus of the present invention has good image quality.
