摘要： It is an object of the present invention to provide a filing device which includes simplified binding elements for removably binding a plurality of folder bags of a synthetic resin, and allows for easy attachment of the binding elements to a file cover thereof. The filing device comprises: a file cover including a front cover portion, a back cover portion, and a spine provided between the front and back cover portions; and a binding member fixed onto an inner side of the spine of the file cover and including an elongated base plate, a plurality of binding elements provided parallel to each other at predetermined intervals along the length of the base plate on an inner side of the base plate as projecting perpendicularly to the base plate, and hooks extending outwardly from longitudinally opposite ends of the base plate and bent into a U-shape so as to be hooked onto longitudinally opposite ends of the spine of the file cover. The binding elements respectively have generally inverted-U-shaped flanges which are engageable with engagement portions provided as incisions in an edge portion of a folder bag at the predetermined intervals.

摘要： A tab for adhesively securing and binding articles within looseleaf binders and like devices, where such articles cannot be conveniently provided with apparatus for engagement by the binder rings. The tab includes a central, apertured portion advantageously comprising bilaterally symmetric apertured sections separated by a central fold line, and wing portions, all adhesive-coated. The tab is prepared for use by folding the respective halves of the central tab portion against each other with apertures aligned. The tab may then be inserted in a binder ring, and the wings of the tab adhesively secured to the article to be bound. Advantageously a plurallity of such tabs are included in a tab stock, such tab stock including an adhesive coated tab substrate (preferably transparent) and backing sheet.

摘要： Two methods for mounting index tabs to coiled wire bound stenographic notebooks are disclosed. The first method involves providing one or more elongated transparent plastic envelopes having a plurality of aligned apertures adjacent a lower envelope edge, the apertures surrounding turns of the coled wire, the envelopes also having two open side portions and an upper closed envelope edge portion, and inserting index tabs through the open side portions until the tabs are contained within the envelopes. A "snap-on" version, marketed apart from the notebook, is disclosed in addition to tabs which are affixed to the coiled wire during manufacture. A second method involves providing a flat elongated base member having at least one area for recording indicia thereon, and having first and second catch members at opposite terminal portions of the base member, separated from each other by a distance slightly less than the length of the coiled wire, and reducing the length of the coiled wire by asserting pressure thereon while slipping a hook portion of the base member past the coiled wire and about a turn thereof to mount the base member upon the notebook.

摘要： A multi-purpose clip for clipping papers and also useful in a fastener structure for a paper file, comprises an elongated member formed with a pair of longitudinally-spaced holes adjacent to one edge to receive the fastening elements of the paper file. The elongated member is further formed with a slot extending from each of the holes to the opposite edge of the elongated member such that the slots permit the elongated member to be removed from the fastening elements by moving the elongated member laterally in the direction of the opposite edge. The slots also define a center jaw and a pair of end jaws for clamping together the papers overlying the place in the file where one or more papers are to be added or removed.

摘要： A file-index card system for retaining and displaying conventional business cards is disclosed. The system includes a frame in which is held a multiplicity of file cards in the form of planar sheets. Each file card has an area of adhesive covering a portion thereof, with a protective peel-off covering placed over the area of adhesive. Registration markings are provided on each file card to at least one side of the area of adhesive, the registration markings serving to delimit the edge of a conventional business card to be affixed to the file card. In use, the protective peel-off covering is removed to expose the adhesive. A conventional business card is then aligned with the registration markings and is affixed to the file card to thereby be displayed.

The fastener comprises a plurality of tabs positioned adjacently such that they form a notch which opens on and provides access to an aperture in which the wire binder is retained upon insertion of the fastening means into a notebook or similar wire bound medium. The opening between the notch and aperture formed by the tabs is smaller than the diameter of the wire forming the binder. In one embodiment the tabs are formed with a bulbous head. In another embodiment the head is formed with at least one oblique side and the neck is formed with at least one arcuate side.
