    Abstract: A sprinkler assembly with a nutating distribution plate can improve even distribution of water. The distribution plate can tilt and/or translate upon water impinging the distribution plate to disperse water in different directions. The sprinkler assembly can have a deflector assembly including the distribution plate, a spindle supported by a bearing, and a contact portion downstream of the distribution plate to contact a housing that limits a range of movement of the distribution plate. The sprinkler assembly can be disassembled and reassembled with minimal tools and effort for servicing.

    Abstract: Various sprinkler head protective case devices are disclosed. These devices provide substantial physical protection to sprinkler heads from accidental damage and/or activation thereof during temporary periods of construction and maintenance. The devices include fire and heat resistant shells that selectively close to surround the sprinkler head and open to permit removal therefrom. Cushioning pads are provided for more stable assemblies, and the shells can be locked into place so that the protective case devices do not accidentally become dislodged.

    Abstract: A wear resistant mounting post for a distributor cap in a rotary bell cup atomizer. The mounting post includes a flange separating a thin barbed end from a larger diameter central portion. The flange fits into a countersunk depression in the distributor cap to provide a flange surface which is flush with the distributor cap surface. Paint flowing radially outward across the distributor cap follows the flange surface to the central portion of the post. This design prevents the paint from undercutting the surface of the distributor cap, and ensures that any abrasive wear of the post is limited to the larger diameter central portion.

    Abstract: A spray nozzle that includes a nozzle body defining a first surface, a cap defining a second surface able to define an annular nozzle opening therebetween, a turbine having a plurality of radially extending fins circumferentially positioned about the nozzle opening for directing the flow of fluid exiting the nozzle opening, and a reverser member including a cup portion positioned below the cap to intercept the flow of fluid from a flow passage of the cap. The reverser member coupled to the turbine such that the reverser member is caused to rotate in response to rotation of the turbine.
