摘要： A resin composition comprising polyarylene sulfide, polyvinylidene fluoride and optionally ultrafine particles. A method of adhering a polyarylene sulfide article and a polyvinylidene fluoride article by using a resin composition comprising polyarylene sulfide, polyvinylidene fluoride and optionally ultrafine particles as an adhesive comprises the steps of melting portions of the polyarylene sulfide article and the polyvinylidene fluoride article to be adhered and the adhesive at a temperature between a melting point of the polyarylene sulfide and 400.degree. C.; bringing the portions to be adhered into contact with each other via the adhesive in a molten state; and cooling the adhered portions in a contact state.

摘要： A curable adhesive composition comprises a thermoplastic fluoropolymer, an elastomeric fluoropolymer, an ethylene copolymer and a crosslinking component. The composition preferably also comprises a tackifier. The crosslinking component preferably comprises a free radical generator such as a peroxide and a co-crosslinking agent comprising a multifunctional monomer. The adhesive is particularly useful with heat recoverable articles and bonds exceptionally well to fluoropolymer substrates.

摘要： A fluoroelastomer composition that has enhanced adhesion to metal when cured which comprises:(a) an elastomeric copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and at least one other fluorinated monomer,(b) a vulcanization accelerator that is a quaternary phosphonium compound,(c) a crosslinking agent selected from the group consisting of a bisphenol or a polyhydroxy phenol of the formula: ##STR1## where R is H or an alkyl group or an aryl group and R' is an alkyl group or an aryl group, and(d) 0.02-0.8 weight percent based on the weight of the elastomeric copolymer of a metal adhesion promoter that is a tetraalkylammonium halide where each alkyl group contains 1-10 carbon atoms and the halide is a chloride, bromide or iodide. When cured in contact with metal the fluoroelastomer composition forms a strong bond with the metal surface.
