摘要： A polymeric split sprocket wheel is provided having two mating portions that, when joined, form a split line at the junction of those portions, two side faces, a toothed outer rim and a central axial bore, and which is designed to be mounted on a relatively immobile yet rotatable keyed shaft, being secured thereon by means of a tripartite apparatus comprised of a captive slotted keyway molded into the central axial bore of the wheel, a circular band clamp capable of exerting a uniform degree of force all around the axial hub, and a plurality of wedge dog assemblies which join the wheel together along the split line by means of a plurality of wedge dog clamps which straddle the split line, are inserted into tapered receptacles, and are fixed to the wheel by fastening means.

The sector can easily be connected to rotatable machine elements of various kinds by being provided with an easily exchangeable coupling element (7) which can be displaced axially through a bore in the sector and through two bearings (8, 9) and be detachably fastened to the cog-sector by e.g. screws (14, 15) provided in threaded bores in the sector and abutting radially directed support surfaces in recesses in the element (7) between the bearing surfaces of the bearings (8, 9).

The engaging member engages with the engaging groove to mount the sprocket group to the cylindrical member in relation of being axially immovable and disengages from the groove to remove the sprocket group from the cylindrical member.

The length of the tooth blocks equals at least the spacing between two links in the mating chain. The tooth blocks are attached to spacers fitted to the circumferential periphery of the drum. Various segment pieces or spacer members can be attached to the drum separating adjacent tooth blocks.

摘要： A driven mechanism for a rotatory heat regenerator, in which a shock absorbing member is fitted around the outer peripheral surface of a discoidal rotatory regenerator having a honeycomb structure. A metal ring having teeth is set around the outer periphery of the shock absorbing member and held in position thereby. The ring is driven by at least one driving gear connected with a prime mover and transfers torque to the rotatory regenerator. Torque fluctuations on the driving gear are moderated by the elastic deformation of the ring and the shock absorbing member. Any difference in the amount of thermal expansion between the ring and the regenerator is compensated by the shock absorbing member.
