    摘要: An electrical connector includes an insulating body, and a first and second terminal groups located in the insulating body. The second terminal group is located below the first terminal group. The first terminal group has a first grounding terminal, and two pairs of first differential signal terminals located at two sides. The second terminal group has a pair of second differential signal terminals, a second grounding terminal and a power supply terminal located at two sides. The first differential signal terminal, the first and second grounding terminals, and the power supply terminal have a first, third, fourth and fifth fixing portions fixed to the insulating body, and a first, third, fourth and fifth vertical portions bends downward and extends from the corresponding fixing portions. The first grounding terminal is wider than the second differential signal terminal. The fourth and fifth vertical portions are wider than the first vertical portion.

    摘要: Alien crosstalk suppression cores are used to decrease alien crosstalk in communications channels. Electrical communication cables may be provided with alien crosstalk suppression cores. The alien crosstalk suppression cores, which may be ferrite suppression cores, are placed separately on some or all of the twisted pairs within a communication cable. The alien crosstalk suppression cores reduce ANEXT and AFEXT in high-frequency communications when communication cables are installed near one another. Alien crosstalk suppression cores may also be incorporated into other communication channel components, such as on a PCB within a communication jack.

    摘要: Invention relates to a high performance electrical data connector of the type which may be mated with a like connector. The connector comprises an insulative housing having a connector mating face and a conductor receiving face, a floor extending between the faces and a pair of upstanding side walls, plural contact terminals upstanding from the floor intermediate the mating face and the conductor receiving face. The plural contact terminals comprise a conductor receiving portion, a base portion, and a resilient tongue portion reversely bent from the base portion and extending toward the connector mating face. An important feature hereof is the provision of an insulative member integrally molded between the side walls and overlying at least part of each resilient tongue portion, where the insulative member includes staggered plural through slots. Each slot contains a formed shorting assembly consisting of a U-shaped configured, oxide resistant wire having a circular cross section, where the assembly comprises a base portion and a pair of arms angularly extending therefrom, and each arm terminates in an end portion adapted to contact one resilient tongue portion, of a preselected pair of terminals, when the connector is in an unmated condition. By the use of the specially configured, oxide resistant shorting assembly, the skin effect and other factors affecting insertion loss are reduced resulting in improved performance.

    摘要: A modular plug is disclosed for terminating a telecommunications cable having twisted pairs of wires. The modular plug includes a housing defining an internal cavity and slots positioned toward a distal end of the housing, each slot being parallel to a central axis of the modular plug, A wire manager is fitted inside the internal cavity, and defines channels for positioning the twisted pairs of wires inside the housing. A wire sled extends from the wire manager and defines a plurality of grooves, each groove shaped to position an individual wire from the twisted pairs of wires at an angle with respect to the central axis. The modular plug further includes a plurality of plug contacts. Each plug contact is held by a slot of the housing and is structured to form an electrical interface with a wire positioned by the wire sled.
