    摘要: Alkenes, alkynes or mixtures thereof are removed from feedstreams by a process which comprises contacting the feedstream with a solution of a cuprous fluorinated acetylacetone in an organic solvent containing stabilizing agent to remove alkene, alkyne or mixture thereof by forming a first cuprous complex, decomposing the first cuprous complex whereby stabilizing agent replaces alkene or alkyne in the first cuprous complex to form a second cuprous complex, and separating the displaced component. The formation of the second cuprous complex avoids any deposition of copper metal upon heating.

    摘要: In processes in which liquid sorbents that are solutions in an aromatic hydrocarbon or halogenated aromatic hydrocarbon of a bimetallic salt complex having the generic formula M.sub.I M.sub.II X.sub.n.Aromatic, wherein M.sub.I is a Group I-B metal, M.sub.II is a Group III-A metal, X is halogen, n is the sum of the valences of M.sub.I and M.sub.II, and Aromatic is an aromatic hydrocarbon or halogenated aromatic hydrocarbon are used to separate complexible ligand from a gas feedstream that comprises an olefin having 2 or 3 carbon atoms, alkylation of the aromatic hydrocarbon or halogenated aromatic hydrocarbon is inhibited by incorporating in the liquid sorbent a small amount of triphenylboron.

    摘要: There is described the separation of carbon monoxide from gaseous mixtures by the combined use of liquid barrier permeation and metal complexing techniques. The liquid barrier is in contact with a semi-permeable film membrane, and the barrier contains complex-forming metal ions in aqueous solution. The metal ions may be, for example, cuprous or other metal ions, and mixtures of these metal ions, with or without other cations, may be used. The separation of carbon monoxide from lower alkanes, e.g., ethane and methane, or hydrogen is of particular interest.
