摘要： A cabinet (1) comprising: a housing (10); two or more storage units (30, 50), each accommodated within the housing (10) and displaceable between a closed position in which a majority of the storage unit (30, 50) is disposed within the housing (10) and an open position in which the storage unit (30, 50) projects from the housing (10) to an extent greater than in said closed position; and a blocking mechanism (70) comprising two or more blocking members (71b, 71c), each associated with its corresponding storage unit (30, 50) and configured for selectively arresting said corresponding storage unit (30, 50) in its closed position; the blocking mechanism (70) being displaceable between an unblocked state in which each one of the storage units (30, 50) is free to be displaced from its closed position to its open position and a blocked state in which at least one and no more than all but one of the storage units (30, 50) are arrested in their closed position by their corresponding blocking members (71b, 71c). The association between the blocking mechanism (70) and the storage units (30, 50) is such that, when said blocking mechanism (70) is in its unblocked position, displacement of one of said storage units (30, 50) from its closed position to its open position induces displacement of the blocking mechanism (70) from its unblocked state to its blocked state.

摘要： An electronic cam lock accessible either by PIN code or wirelessly transmitted code from a user's credential has a compact electronics housing that fits neatly and unobtrusively in office furniture, including metal or wood file cabinets. The housing has a rear-extending driver, which may be within a cylinder, preferably positioned where the driver of a cam lock of conventional keyed configuration would be located. One form of the lock is front-recess mounted. In another form the housing is inside-mounted, fitted within the usually one-inch top rail or vertical side rail of a file cabinet, with the electronic access terminal and a rotatable knob exposed for the user. The locks can be connected in a wired or wireless network for controlling access by time or by personnel, or for auditing entries.

In certain aspects, the latch assembly includes a single motor and cam assembly having three configurations, wherein the locking lever and detent lever are respectively in the unlocked and disengaged positions while in the first configuration, in the unlocked and engaged positions while in the second configuration, and in the locked and engaged positions while in the third configuration.

In one embodiment, the locking mechanisms for security cabinets provide a visual indication of whether the security cabinet is locked or unlocked. The security containers include a handle assembly that is coupled to the locking mechanism. The handle assembly may be positioned in at least three positions corresponding to the security container being locked and latched; being unlocked and latched; and being unlocked and unlatched. Because the handle assembly is positioned in these plurality of positions that correspond to the lock and latch status of the locking mechanism, indication of the lock and latch status of the locking mechanism may be understood by visual inspection.

Further, a latch is movable between a first position in which the latch holds the drawer in a closed position and a second position in which the latch releases the drawer to an open position. An actuator is used to move the latch between the first and second positions.
