摘要： A pump has in a housing a revolvable shaft which drives a piston stroke guide body. Drive pistons are provided with piston shoes which run on the guide face of the piston stroke guide body and drive fluid supply pistons of smaller diameter. The pump preferies a fluid separator between lubricating and non-lubricating fluid, like for example, between oil and water, whereof one of the fluids flows through an inner chamber which is provided with inlet and outlet valves while the outer fluid acts in an outer chamber which is open toward the cylinder wherein the fluid supply piston reciprocates. Dead space fillers are provided to prevent losses by compression of fluid and seal means are assembled to prevent leakage of fluid from one into the other of the chambers. The fluid separator may be compressible and expandable within the plastic deformable range of the material whereof it is made. The pump includes sophisticated technologies which necessiated more than half a decade of intensive research and testing but it is now capable of pumping fluid, including water, of several thousand atmospheres of pressure.

摘要： An interlocking seal assembly for a universal joint which acts both to seal the bearing assembly as well as to retain the bearing block from falling off the spider in the joint. This assembly includes a resilient sealing member engaging a trunnion and having a backing ring housing the seal and adapted to be press fitted into the bearing block on the trunnion and a loose fitting generally cylindrical shield adapted to be press fitted onto a diameter of the spider. The backing ring and shield have overlapping lips providing the interlock to retain the bearing block on the spider.

摘要： A Hookes universal joint wherein each journal of the cross member of the joint has a lubricant chamber adjacent its outermost end, and the lubricant channel for the journal leads into a passage extending outwardly towards the free end of the journal and then inwardly to open into the chamber at its innermost end. The passage is defined by a one piece component which includes a spigot extending into lubricant channel, an outwardly extending tube, and inwardly extending tubes which terminate at the innermost end of chamber. These parts are formed in a one piece component integral with a thrust washer. The arrangement prevents lubricant drainage from the chamber when the joint is stationary.

摘要： A fastening device for the rollers of a roller bushing, such as a universal joint bushing. The roller bushing includes a pin, an outer bushing around and spaced from the pin and rollers between the pin and the outer bushing. A groove in the outer bushing receives a holding ring which is generally U shaped. The groove in the outer bushing is shaped for receiving the radially outer leg of the holding ring under tension. The radially inner leg of the holding ring has projections which cooperate with projections on an outer seal for snap-holding the outer seal to close off the space between the pin and the bushing. The radially-directed, axially inwardly facing surface of the transition leg of the holding ring rests against the axially inward surface of the groove. Further, an inner sealing element for the space between the pin and the outer bushing rests against that same surface of the transition leg of the holding ring.

摘要： A precision ball bearing slide mechanism having a removable inner member. One version of the invention utilizes an inner member which also holds the inner member in a locked out extended position. The inner member is stopped and locked by the engagement of an elongated latch with a stop. By moving the latch the inner member may be removed from the body of the slide. Latches which lock the inner member in an extended configuration and permit retraction only upon movement of the latch are disclosed as are configurations which permit the slide to be readily retracted. Also disclosed is a version of the latch which permits the slide to be retracted upon exertion of an inward force on the slide.
