摘要： A scale 1 for weighing moving loads 17 includes a weighing platform 3 having an entrance end 5 and an exit end 7. The platform 3 is pivotal about a transverse axis 9 between the entrance end 5 and exit end 7. A first limit stop 13 is engageable to limit downward movement of the entrance end 5 and a second limit stop 15 is engageable to limit downward movement of the exit end 7. A weighing device 11 is connected to the platform 3 and is operable to provide an indication of the weight of a load 17 supported on the platform 3 when neither the first limit stop 13 nor the second limit stop 15 is engaged.

摘要： Load measuring apparatus particularly but not solely for the weighing of animals is supported on load-bearing feet. Each load bearing foot provides an electrical signal indicating the load thereon and the sum of the electrical signals indicates the total load. Each load bearing foot has a strut which is in use attached to the load, housing which rests on a load-bearing surface and a load cell which is fixed within housing and transmits the load force carried by strut to housing and thence to the load-bearing surface. The strut passes through an aperture in housing to bear against load cell which is in the central cavity of the housing. The strut is able to move towards load cell, but is substantially restricted from moving away from the load cell, and preferably is able to have some rotational movement relative to base. The load-bearing feet overcome the bulkiness and expensiveness of prior art weighing systems and are portable, inexpensive and accurate in use.

摘要： The present invention provides a single animal weighing apparatus having an external frame supporting by means of a support structure a longitudinally extending load bar and a floating weight crate suspended from the load bar and isolated from the external frame. The support structure of the present invention further enables the use of an auxiliary basket to weigh small animals, the basket being attached to the support structure above the external frame. The present invention further has a pair of gates each having two panels that are each hinged to the external frame and each including a scissors mechanism that is used to open the gate. The gate opening mechanism of each gate is manipulable from either end of the weighing apparatus. To facilitate movement of a weighing apparatus according to the present invention there is a truck provided that is equally attachable to either end of the apparatus.
