摘要： A weight sensing apparatus for a lifting device is disclosed that comprises at least one lifting chain attached to a load-engaging device at a first end and a frame at a second end, the load-engaging device being movable with respect to the frame when a lifting force is applied via the at least one lifting chain, at least one force translating arm fixedly attached to a sensor shaft at a first end and rotatably attached to the at least one lifting chain at a second end, the second end of the at least one force translating arm being attached to the at least one lifting chain between the first and second ends of the at least one lifting chain, and a torque sensor mounted on the sensor shaft that is configured to measure torque applied to the sensor bar by the at least one force translating arm when the lifting force is applied to the at least one force translating arm by the at least one lifting chain.

摘要： A torsional sensing load cell, suitable for mounting at support locations of an automotive seat in order to determine weight and sitting position of an occupant of a motor vehicle. The load cell has the shape of a tuning fork, with one arm fixed to a foot attached to a chassis and a second parallel arm, not contacting the first arm, arranged to support a quadrant of a seat by means of a flange on the side of the second arm, causing torsion in the arm. A stop pin arrangement is provided in the load cell to prevent overloading the cell in a high force situation such as a collision.

摘要： An electronic weight transmitter which produces an electrical signal proportional to the gross or net weight applied thereto. The electronic weight transmitter utilizes a parallelogram structure having substantially frictionless pivots at three of its pivot points and a torsion bar at its fourth pivot point. The parallelogram structure is mounted to a base and the weight to be measured is applied to the parallelogram structure. Movement of the parallelogram structure is restrained by the torsion bar. Movement of the parallelogram structure against the restraining force of the torsion bar is converted into an electrical signal by means of a linear variable differential transformer. The core of the linear variable differential transformer is mounted for movement with the parallelogram structure and the windings of the linear variable differential transformer are mounted on the base.

The first and the second gates each have an open position and a closed position. In the closed position of the first and the second gates, portions of the first and the second gates extend about a portion of the animal for restraining movement of the animal. An actuator assembly is connected to the first and the second rods for causing the second rod to rotate in a closing direction and in an opening direction in response to the first rod being moved in the closing direction and in the opening direction. The actuator assembly comprises a strap having a square or rectangularly shaped cross section with a substantially flat upper surface and a substantially flat lower surface, the strap comprising a plurality of individual strands woven and interconnected to form the strap.

摘要： A microbalance utilizing the pressure of light for counterbalancing small changes in mass or force on the balance having a balance device and measuring device. The sample to be investigated is supported by the balance device, while the counteracting light pressure is reflected from the measuring device to the balance device. A detector determines when the balance device is out of equilibrium and accordingly varies the intensity of the light in order to counteract the unbalance. During this operation the measuring device determines how much light force was necessary to counterbalance the mass change on the sample and restore the system to equilibrium.
