    摘要: The present invention teaches an overvoltage protection device that includes at least one non-linear resistance element and a single cut-off device coupled with the at least one non-linear resistance element to disable the at least one non-linear resistance element when the at least one non-linear resistance element reaches a pre-determined temperature. The single cut-off device may include stranded wire, a first solder having a first melting point connecting the stranded wire to the at least one non-linear resistance element, and a second solder having a second melting point, higher than the first melting point, connecting the stranded wire to the at least one non-linear resistance element. The single cut-off device may further include a shifting part that shifts when the at least one non-linear resistance element heats the first solder to the first melting point. In other particular embodiments, the overvoltage protection device may further include a status indicator configured to be moved by the single cut-off device to indicate one of at least two conditions of the at least one non-linear resistance element. The status indicator may include a lever, and the single cut-off device moves the lever to indicate the one of at least two conditions of the at least one non-linear resistance element.

    摘要: A high voltage surge protection device having a characteristic impedance includes a center conductor defining an axis, an electrically conductive outer body concentrically disposed in surrounding relation to the inner conductor, and a dielectric layer disposed between the center conductor and the outer body. An electrically conductive surge protective element having a first value of effective impedance is disposed in electrical contact with the outer body and in spaced-apart relationship with the center conductor. The spaced-apart relationship forms a gap between the surge protective element and the center conductor. An insulative tuning element having a second value of effective impedance larger than the first value of effective impedance is coupled to the surge protective element in impedance-restorative relationship. The combination of the first value of effective impedance and the second value of effective impedance effectively equals the characteristic impedance of the high voltage surge protection device.

The plurality of surge-arrestor modules includes a housing with sidewalls and in substantially parallel-spaced relation, and a front panel and a rear panel, wherein the panels span between the first sidewall and the second sidewall. Additionally, the surge-arrestor modules include signal port(s) integrated within the sidewalls, socket(s) integrated within the rear panel, and a circuit board internally disposed within the housing that creates a signal path between the signal port(s). The mounting-frame assembly includes grounding connector(s) that outwardly extend and are adapted to insert within the socket(s), respectively, of each surge-arrestor module thereby vertically supporting each module in frictional engagement.

    摘要: A circuit for protecting a semiconductor device from electrostatic discharge by protecting an internal circuit from electrostatic current flowing into an input/output pad includes a first discharge unit that discharges the electrostatic current to a first power supply line or a second power supply line. A second discharge unit protects the internal circuit from electrostaticity flowing from the input/output pad or the second power supply line. A power clamp unit discharges the electrostatic current, which is discharged to the first power supply line or the second power supply line by the first discharge unit, to the opposite power supply line. A trigger unit drives the first discharge unit and the power clamp unit with first and second detection voltages generated in response to a voltage drop of the discharged electrostatic current.

The connector includes a plurality of metal lines, a plurality of resistors, a ground metal, and a capacitor. Each metal line has a pointed end. There is a distance between the pointed end of the metal lines and a pointed end of the first end of each resistor corresponding to the metal line. The capacitor is coupled between the ground metal and second end of the resistors. Thus the surge endurance of product can be increased by the invention, and the damage to the internal components of product can be prevented.

    摘要: An earthing device which needs not be buried under the ground is provided. The earthing device includes an earthing panel and a discharging device mounted inside the earthing panel. The discharging device includes at least one electrode plate, multiple discharging electrodes coupled to the electrode plate, and catalyst filled between the discharging electrodes. Since an earth electrode needs not be buried under the ground, it requires less construction costs, time and area, and environmental pollution (especially, soil pollution) does not happen. Further, the earthing device can be simply and economically installed regardless of place.
