    摘要: The liquid oligomeric compositions of this invention are made by the Michael addition reaction of acetoacetate functional donor compounds with multifunctional acrylate receptor compounds where the equivalent ratios of multifunctional acrylate to acetoacetate vary from .gtoreq.1:1 to .gtoreq.13.2:1 depending on the functionality of both multifunctional acrylate and acetoacetate. Unuseable gelled or solid oligomer products occur below the claimed ranges. The liquid oligomers of this invention are further crosslinked to make coatings, laminates and adhesives.

    摘要: The subject invention relates to a foundry binder system which cures in the presence of a volatile amine curing catalyst comprising (a) an epoxy resin,(b) an organic polyisocyanate, (c) a reactive unsaturated acrylic monomer or polymer, and (d) an oxidizing agent. The foundry binders are used for making foundry mixes. The foundry mixes are used to make foundry shapes which are used to make metal castings.

    摘要: The invention relates to amine modified polyisocyanates having urea linkages and their use in foundry binder systems. The modified polyisocyanates are prepared by reacting a polyisocyanate with an aliphatic primary or secondary amine. These amine modified polyisocyanates, along with a phenolic resole resin, are added to a foundry aggregate to form a foundry mix which is shaped and cured with an amine curing catalyst.

    摘要: Broadly, the present invention relates to furan no-bake foundry binders where bisphenol A tar (BPAT) is used to replace a portion of the furfuryl alcohol and any conventional filler optionally included in for binder formulation. Reduction in the amount of furfuryl alcohol in the foundry binder formulation may lead to a reduction in the cost and an improvement in early strength of these formulations. Accordingly, in a furan no-bake foundry binder of a resin derived from a major proportion of furfuryl alcohol and optionally fillers, the improvement which comprises at least a fraction of said furfuryl alcohol being bisphenol A tar. Bisphenol A tar also can replace at least a fraction of any filler included in the binder formulation.
