Abstract: This document describes techniques and components of a radar system with a sparse primary array and a dense auxiliary array. Even with fewer antenna elements than a traditional radar system, an example radar system has a comparable angular resolution at a lower cost, lower complexity level, and without aliasing. The radar system includes a processor and antenna arrays that can receive electromagnetic energy reflected by one or more objects. The antenna arrays include a primary subarray and an auxiliary subarray. The auxiliary subarray includes multiple antenna elements with a smaller spacing than the antenna elements of the primary subarray. The processor can determine, using the received electromagnetic energy, first and second potential angles associated with the one or more objects. The processor then associates, using the first and second potential angles, respective angles associated with each of the one or more objects.

Abstract: This document describes techniques, apparatuses, and systems utilizing joint cost estimation for associating a detection-tracklet pair to an object. In aspects, a radar system generates a detection-tracklet pair that includes detection information about a detection for a radar reflection point in addition to tracklet information about a tracklet associated with the detection. Using the detection information and the tracklet information of the detection-tracklet pair, the radar system generates, for each potential data object of a plurality of potential data objects, a respective joint cost estimation and selects, based on the respective joint cost estimations, a data object from the plurality of potential data objects to associate with the detection-tracklet pair. The radar system then associates the detection-tracklet pair with the selected data object.

Abstract: A vehicle power distribution circuit (14) for connecting between an energy store (2) and a power line (8) connected to a generator or DC/DC-Converter (9). The circuit (14) has a charging line (7) connecting between the energy store (2) and the power line (8) for charging the energy store (2) when a forward voltage is applied by the generator or DC/DC-Converter (9). A protection switch (6) is provided in the charging line (7) and is openable for preventing conduction of current through the protection switch (6) in response to a drop in voltage on the power line (8). An ideal diode arrangement (13) is provided in parallel to the protection switch (6) in the charging line (7) for conducting the forward current from the generator or DC/DC-Converter (9) to the energy store (2). The ideal diode arrangement (13) prevents the conducting of a reverse current when a reverse voltage is applied.
