Abstract:
A liquid crystal display with an integrated touch screen panel is disclosed. According to some aspects, conductive patterns or conducting patterns provided to the LCD are used as driving electrodes of the touch screen panel. A driving electrode of the touch screen panel may be formed on one surface of a polarizing plate or window attached to the LCD so as to be positioned close to a contact point, thereby improving touch sensitivity.
Abstract:
A display device includes a display panel having an active area in which sub-pixels formed at crossing regions of data lines extending in a first direction and gate lines extending in a second direction crossing the first direction are arranged, and a non-active area outside of the active area. A driver supplies a drive signal to the gate and data lines in the display panel. Data links are extended in the first direction from the driver to supply a data signal to the data lines. Gate links are extended out from the driver and extended up to the active area in the first direction from the non-active area between the driver and the active area so as to supply a gate signal to the gate lines extending in the second direction. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce or minimize the area of the non-active area and/or to improve an aperture ratio.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing 3-hydroxypropionic acid by culturing in a glycerol-containing medium a mutant microorganism obtained by inserting or amplifying a gene encoding propanediol utilization protein in a microorganism having the abilities to produce coenzyme B12 and produce 3-hydroxypropionic acid using glycerol as a carbon sourceAccording to the present invention, 3-hydroxypropionic acid can be produced in high yield from glycerol without having to add expensive coenzyme B12 as a cofactor.
Abstract:
An LCD device and a method for fabricating the same is described, in which each of light-shielding patterns has the uniform thickness to prevent the step coverage from being generated in color filter patterns by the light-shielding patterns. The LCD device includes a substrate with pixel and light shielding regions defined, a transparent material layer formed on the substrate corresponding to the pixel regions, a light-shielding layer formed on the substrate corresponding to the light shielding regions, and a color filter layer on the transparent material layer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel method of producing 3-hydroxypropionic acid from glycerol, and more particularly to a method of producing 3-hydroxypropionic acid by culturing in a glycerol-containing medium a mutant microorganism obtained by amplifying an aldehyde dehydrogenase-encoding gene in a microorganism having the abilities to produce coenzyme B12 and produce 3-hydroxypropionic acid using glycerol as a carbon source. The present invention enables the fermentation of glycerol even under microaerobic or aerobic conditions without having to add coenzyme B12. Thus, the invention will be very suitable for the development of biological processes for producing large amounts of 3-hydroxypropionic acid.

Abstract:
Provided is a method of producing 1,3-propanediol by culturing a recombinant strain in which the glycerol oxidative pathway had been blocked, and more particularly a method of producing 1,3-propanediol by two-step culture of a recombinant strain in which the oxidative pathway that produces byproducts in the glycerol metabolic pathway had been blocked. When the recombinant strain in which the glycerol oxidative pathway that produces byproducts had been blocked is cultured in two steps, 1,3-propanediol can be produced with improved yield without producing products that result in an increase in purification costs.
Abstract:
A liquid crystal display (LCD) is disclosed. The pixels of the LCD each have storage capacitors, and the capacitances of the storage capacitors of pixels of different colors are different.
Abstract:
A liquid crystal display including a liquid crystal panel having n gate lines and m data lines intersecting one another to form a frame to display an image; a gate driving unit supplying a scan signal to the n gate lines arranged in rows on the liquid crystal panel; a data driving unit supplying a data signal to the m data lines arranged in columns on the liquid crystal panel; and a common voltage driving unit applying a first common voltage to a plurality of odd common voltage lines arranged in rows on the liquid crystal panel, and applying a second common voltage to a plurality of even common voltage lines, wherein the odd common voltage lines and the even common voltage lines are alternately arranged in rows.
