摘要: A small-sized printing apparatus, which is stable in printing operation and high in reliability, is provided, although the installation area and the utility area are small. For this purpose, the conveying direction of a supplied printing medium is reversed generally in the opposite direction, and then guided in the vertical direction. Thus, the printing medium is firmly supported. Also, since the printing medium exists beneath the printing section in the vertical direction during the printing operation, it is possible to prevent the interior of the apparatus from being contaminated with ink dropping down from the printing region.

摘要: A liquid discharging head has a heat generating member in which there is a bubbling region involved in the generation of the bubble. A center of the width of the heat generating member and a center of the width of an effective bubbling region with respect to a flow direction of the liquid are identical. The conditions of the bubble generation region are given as follows: the width of the effective bubbling region≦a width of the bubble generation region

摘要: There is provided an inkjet printing head carrying a sub-tank from which accumulated gases can be easily discharged. The inkjet printing head includes a sub-tank which has a movable section constituted by a deformable film sheet, a spring for generating a negative pressure, and a supply/discharge channel for supplying ink and discharging accumulated gases. The sub-tank is intermittently supplied with ink from a main tank and reserving the ink. The supply/discharge channel is provided in a position where it does not interfere with the movable section and the spring, e.g., in a frame of the sub-tank. The supply/discharge channel is preferably formed in an upper part of the sub-tank, e.g., a ceiling section of the sub-tank.

摘要: A liquid discharge head is provided having a heating member for generating thermal energy to create a bubble in liquid, a discharge port adapted to discharge the liquid, and a liquid flow path communicated with the discharge port having a bubble generating area for enabling the liquid to create the bubble. A movable member is arranged in the bubble generating area to be displaced along with the development of the bubble. A regulating portion regulates the displacement of the movable member within a desired range, and by means of energy at the time of bubble creation, the liquid being discharged from the discharge port. The regulating portion is arranged to face the bubble generating area in the liquid flow path. A support member is directly connected to the movable member. The bubble development causes the movable member and the regulating portion to be in contact forming an essentially closed space with the exception of the discharge port.

摘要: A liquid discharging method which employs a liquid discharging head consisting of a liquid discharging port, a bubble generating region where the bubble generates in the liquid and a movable member that can move between a first position and a second position which is located at a point farther from the bubble generating region compared with the first position, wherein the movable member moves from the first position to the second position by the pressure of the bubble generated by the bubble generating energy in the bubble generating region, and at the same time the bubble expands farther toward the downstream direction compared with the upstream direction by the displacement of the movable member in order to discharge the liquid out of the liquid discharging port by the liquid discharging energy applied to such liquid. The movable member has its free end in the downstream side with respect to its fulcrum and the liquid is discharged by applying the discharging energy corresponding to a saturation domain where the amount of the liquid to be discharged out of the liquid discharging port is substantially saturated in accordance with the increase of the discharging energy.
