Abstract:
Provided are communication devices and methods for requesting content in a network based on a hierarchical name structure. A content requester may search for content without the use of the entire content name in the network based on the hierarchical name structure.
Abstract:
In a method of manufacturing a single-layer cholesteric liquid crystal display device, a liquid crystal composition of a cholesteric phase is formed between a first substrate and a second substrate. A plurality of liquid crystal layers are formed by sequentially adjusting the temperature of the cholesteric phase liquid crystal composition and performing a plurality of optical curing processes on the cholesteric phase liquid crystal composition. Each of the plurality of liquid crystal layers corresponds to one of the plurality of subpixels.
Abstract:

The automatic door opening/closing apparatus devised to automatically open or close a sliding door that is mounted, in a drawer manner, to a refrigerator body, includes a drive device coupled to the sliding door to automatically open or close the sliding door with respect to the refrigerator body, an input part to receive an user input and to operate the drive device based on the user input, a sensing part to sense an open or closed state of the sliding door, and a controller to operate the drive device based on signals from the input part and signals from the sensing part.
Abstract:
Provided is a method of performing time synchronization using a navigation device. The method includes: (a) performing time synchronization between a GPS satellite and a navigation device by receiving GPS signals by a navigation device from at least one GPS satellite; (b) establishing an interface between the navigation device and a time-using device; (c) setting conditions for transmitting time information to the navigation device; and (d) performing time synchronization between the navigation device and the time-using device by transmission of time information from the navigation device to the time-using device.
Abstract:
Aspects of the present invention provide a method of inkjet printing pixels, the method including: applying ink to a plurality of pixels using an inkjet printer; calculating a Transmittance Measurement System (TMS) value of each of the pixels, by measuring an amount of light transmitted through each pixel before and after the application of the ink; calculating a TMS difference between the TMS values of two adjacent pixels; and adjusting the amount of ink applied to each pixel, on the basis of an average of the TMS values of two adjacent pixels, when the absolute value of one of the TMS differences is larger than a reference value.
Abstract:
A liquid crystal display includes: a first panel; a second panel facing the first panel; a first electrode and a second electrode formed on the first panel; a liquid crystal layer provided between the first panel and the second panel; and a first alignment layer formed on the first panel and contacting the liquid crystal layer. The first alignment layer includes a first alignment base layer and a first alignment control agent, the first alignment base layer represents a material for vertically aligning liquid crystal of the liquid crystal layer, and the first alignment control agent comes out of the first alignment base layer and provides alignment force to the liquid crystal. Accordingly, when the liquid crystal of the IPS mode liquid crystal display has a pretilt, the liquid crystal that is near the facing panel on which a linear common electrode and a linear pixel electrode are not provided is immediately tilted according to the pretilt, and hence, the response speed is very fast and the afterimage problem of video is solved.
Abstract:
Provided is a system for sampling and pretreating biological fluid. It comprises: a piercing unit having at a lower portion a capillary tip which is to be inserted into skin to a predetermined depth to take biological fluid therethrough; a dropper, connected to an upper portion of the piercing unit, having an injection tube at an upper portion thereof, the injection tube communicating with the capillary tip; and a reagent container, designed to accommodate the piercing unit therein in an airtight manner so as to seal an outer circumference of the piercing unit, functioning to contain a reagent for treating the biological fluid of the capillary tip of the piercing unit. The system allows even a novice to sample and pretreat biological fluid with high accuracy without the use of expensive precision devices. The system employs fewer expendable supplies, thus providing higher convenience for the user.
Abstract:
A communication apparatus and method of a content router control a traffic transmission rate in a content-centric network (CCN), and the content router. In the communication method and the content router, a congestion of a network may be predicted, a warning signal indicating the congestion may be added to an interest packet, and the interest packet with the warning signal may be transmitted. Additionally, a traffic transmission rate may be controlled by adjusting a data packet transmission time based on a value of a marked field of a PIT. The PIT is set by receiving an interest packet to which a warning signal is added. Thus, the communication apparatus and method thereof provide reachability, while maintaining stability of network routing.
