Abstract:
A method of calibrating detectors in a detector ring of a PET scanner, each detector including a plurality of crystals, the PET scanner having a field of view, is disclosed. The method comprises collecting timing data indicative of coincidence events occurring between each pair of crystals within the field of view. The method further comprises determining a detector adjustment value for each detector, determining a crystal adjustment value for each crystal in each detector, and discretizing the crystal adjustment value for each crystal to produce a discretized crystal adjustment value for each crystal. Lastly, the method comprises calibrating each detector by applying the discretized crystal adjustment value for each crystal in each detector to the collected timing data indicative of coincidence events.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of preparation of a water based epoxy resin curing agent in dispersion form which is formed by combining an amine-functional dispersion (A) with an amine-functional curing agent (B). The invention also relates to the curing agent obtained from said method, its use for curing two component water based epoxy systems, compositions obtained from such curing and various uses of the compositions obtained.
Abstract:
A passenger compartment isolator system interposed between the engine compartment and passenger compartment of an automotive vehicle includes a dash panel having generally vertical and horizontal portions extending under the leading edge of the vehicle's windshield, and an isolator panel affixed to the horizontal and vertical portions of the dash panel on the engine compartment side of the dash panel.
Abstract:
Disclosed are thermally-stable, anthraquinone colorant compounds (dyes) which contain one or more vinyl groups which render the compounds copolymerizable with reactive vinyl monomers to produce colored, polymeric compositions such as acrylate and methacrylate polymeric materials. The compounds possess good fastness (stability) to ultraviolet (UV) light, good solubility in vinyl monomers, good color strength and excellent thermal stability. Also disclosed are (1) coating composition comprising (i) one or more polymerizable vinyl compounds, (ii) one or more of the dye compounds described above, and (iii) a photoinitiator and (2) polymeric materials, i.e., polymers derived from one or more acrylic acid esters, one or more methacrylic acid esters, one or more other polymerizable vinyl compounds or mixtures of any two or more thereof, having copolymerized therein one or more of the anthraquinone colorant compounds.
Abstract:
Disclosed are thermally-stable, colored, photopolymerizable compounds containing a vinyl group which are capable of being copolymerized with reactive vinyl monomers to produce colored compositions such as polyacrylates, polymethacrylates, polystyrene, etc. The compounds exhibit good thermal stability, fastness (stability) to UV-light, good solubility in the reactive monomers and good color strength.
Abstract:
A communication. system includes two high speed communication links formed by pairs of transformers at either end thereof. A phantom circuit formed by the pairs of transformers is used to distribute power to devices connected to the high speed links. In transmission part of a communications system, data is transmitted under the control of a continuously variable frequency clock. Transmission is on parallel data-strobe links, and the receive includes circuitry to identify on which parallel the data signal is preset. A method and circuitry is provided for transmitting and receiving dc balanced data strobe signals.
Abstract:
A flexible guard is provided that can be easily attached to the side skirt of an escalator or other moving walkway or conveyor system, the attachment of the guard occurring either during initial manufacture or during subsequent system modification. The flexible guard minimizes the possibility of side step entrapment without unduly limiting the usable width of the escalator/walkway/conveyor. Additionally, the flexible guard can be mounted close enough to the moving portions of the escalator/walkway/conveyor to minimize the possibility of guard entrapment. The flexible guard includes one or more bristle strips integrated into a flexible base. The base is attached to the escalator/walkway/conveyor using any of a variety of mounting means such as screws, bolts, rivets, etc. One or more light sources can be integrated into the flexible base in order to provide additional illumination of the escalator steps walkway/conveyor.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a composition of photopolymerizable coatings forming cosmetic films that are especially useful for human and animal nail coatings. The coating compositions are based on certain cellulose ester derivatives, which possess groups capable of free radical addition reactions with unsaturated ethylenic pendant groups on other compounds upon exposure to actinic radiation in the presence of an photoinitiator. The coating compositions contain solvents, pigments, modifying resins, plasticizers, and other compounds mixed and maintained in a liquid solution.
Abstract:
An aerial delivery assembly for autonomously delivering a load to a target location, the assembly comprising an airframe which comprises a main body, at least one deployable lift providing structure, the lift providing structure being moveable between a stowed position and a deployed position; and at least one deployable and adjustable control structure for controlling the flight of the assembly and moveable between a stowed position and a deployed position. The main body comprises a compartment for receiving a load to be delivered. The assembly further comprises a control unit comprising an actuation module for use in adjusting the control structure, wherein the control unit is releaseably connected to the airframe such that it is reusable in an aerial delivery assembly having a different airframe.
