Abstract: A transmitter apparatus wherein a simple structure is used to successfully suppress the degradation of error rate performance that otherwise would be caused by fading or the like. There are included encoding parts that encode transport data; a mapping part that performs such a mapping that encoded data sequentially formed by the encoding parts are not successively included in the same symbol, thereby forming data symbols; and a symbol interleaver that interleaves the data symbols. In this way, a low computational complexity can be used to perform an interleaving process equivalent to a bit interleaving process to effectively improve the reception quality at a receiving end.

Abstract: A station apparatus includes a receiver and a controller. The receiver, in operation, receives a Trigger frame allocating Random Access Resource Units (RA-RUs) over multiple bands. The Trigger frame includes a User Info field that comprises a Band Indication subfield for specifying a first band among the multiple bands, an RU Allocation subfield for indicating a first RA-RU of one or more contiguous RA-RUs in the first band, and a Number of RA-RU subfield for indicating a number of the contiguous RA-RUs minus one in the first band. The controller, in operation: sets a first Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) random access backoff (OBO) counter to 0 if an initial value of the first OBO counter is not larger than a number of eligible RA-RUs in the first band, which is a subset of contiguous RA-RUs in the Trigger frame; and randomly selects one of the eligible RA-RUs.

Abstract: A loss correction encoding device having an improved capability of loss correction using LDPC-CC includes a rearranging unit that rearranges information data contained in n information packets according to the constraint length Kmax and the encoding rate (q−1)/q of a check polynomial of the loss correction code used in a loss correction encoding unit. Specifically, the rearranging unit rearranges the information data in such a way that continuous Kmax×(q−1) pieces of information data after rearrangement are contained in different information packets. The rearranging unit distributes the information data to information blocks from n information packets, where n satisfies the formula Kmax×(q−1)≤n.

Abstract: An encoder includes circuitry and a memory coupled to the circuitry. The circuitry, in operation, determines whether or not a ternary split process of splitting a block into three sub blocks in a first direction parallel to a first longer side of the block is allowed by comparing a size of a second shorter side of the block to a minimum threshold value. The circuitry, responsive to the ternary split process being allowed, writes, into a bitstream, a split direction parameter indicative of a splitting direction. The circuitry, in operation, splits the block into a plurality of sub blocks in a direction indicated by the split direction parameter; and encodes the plurality of sub blocks. The minimum threshold value corresponds to a minimum size supported in a transform process.
