The processor in cooperation with the signal generator, the first electrode, and the second electrode are configured to deliver a transcutaneous stimulation to a mammal. The transcutaneous stimulation is configured by the processor for inducing voluntary movement in the mammal. The first electrode is positioned transcutaneously on a spinal cord and/or spinal cord dorsal roots of the mammal. Additionally, the second electrode is placed transcutaneously on or over at least one of the spinal cord and/or the spinal cord dorsal roots, a muscle, a nerve, or on or near a target end organ or bodily structure of the mammal. The second electrode is in communication with the first electrode through a hardwire or wireless connection.

Abstract: A displacement-sensing Doppler radar with ultra-low noise and high sensing resolution is provided. The radar includes N two frequency synthesizers to respectively generate, at different frequencies, a transmitted signal that is radiated toward a target object, and a local oscillator (LO) signal. The radar further includes a mixer and a rectifier to: (1) receive a returned signal from the target object carrying phase delays corresponding to detected displacements of the target object; (2) mix the returned signal and the LO signal to generate a down-converted sine-wave intermediate frequency (IF) signal; and (3) rectify the sine-wave IF signal to a square-wave IF signal, which also carries the displacement-induced phase delays. The radar also includes a phase demodulation module to convert the displacement-induced phase delays into a pulse-modulated signal. The radar further includes a low-pass filter to convert the modulated pulse signal into an output voltage signal indicative of the detected displacements.

Abstract: A system for super-resolution of magnetic resonance (MR) images includes an input for receiving a two-dimensional (2D) multi-slice MR dataset of a subject, a pre-processing module coupled to the input and configured to generate a convolved input from the received 2D multi-slice MR dataset by applying slice-profile convolution to the received 2D multi-slice MR dataset, a through plane super resolution neural network coupled to the pre-processing module and configured to generate a through-plane super-resolution imaging volume based on the convolved input, and a post-processing module coupled to the through plane super resolution neural network and configured to generate a three-dimensional (3D) isotropic super resolution imaging volume by applying slice-profile deconvolution. The through plane super resolution neural network can be trained using a training input dataset generated by applying slice-profile downsampling to a 2D multi-slice MR training dataset.

Abstract: An implantable or injectable scaffold comprising an antigen, a T memory cell inducer, and other optional components is provided for use in enhancing the immune response to the antigen, in particular for subjects who are elderly, immunosenescent and/or immunocompromised, or undergoing cancer therapy. Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 has caused millions of confirmed cases and hundreds of thousands of deaths. However, there is no effective drug treatment, and vaccine is in great need to control the spread of such highly infectious virus.

Abstract: Provided are methods and compositions for in situ detection of RNA in cells that does not require either the use of reverse transcriptase nor use of droplets. The methods can comprise annealing, in fixed and permeabilized cells, a pair of polynucleotide probes to adjacent sequences in a target RNA, which are subsequently ligated. A cell-specific barcode sequence can be subsequently synthesized in the cell using split-pool rounds to add barcode sequences to the ligated probe pair sequences in the cells, wherein an effect of multiple rounds of the split pooling is that ligated probe pair sequences in different cells have unique barcodes that are cell-specific.
