Abstract:
The present invention is an access control door controller which utilizes three relays, 16 alarm inputs, tamper switch, a Weigand reader, a RS 232 reader and a IP core module to enable access control alarm monitoring, inter locking of doors and/or energy management for a room with the help of a software. The present invention utilizes a distributed communication (peer to peer) thus creating a door access controller System network with a truly distributed intelligence permitting exchange of information between all controllers which may be situated in a single site or over multiple sites connected on a common network. The full system can be configured on the widely used TCP/IP network thus avoiding the need for extensive wiring traditionally required for Access Control System. The controller, with its associated software can support multiple types of readers and can directly interface IP cameras for an integrated TCP/IP based Access Control/CCTV Solution.

The synthesis of 1-(acyloxy)-alkyl carbamates of GABA analogs from 1-haloalkyl carbamates of GABA analogs are described. Also described are new 1-haloalkyl carbamates of GABA analogs.
Abstract:
A facility for projecting future purchasing activity for a selected item being offered for sale by a merchant is described. The facility retrieves data indicating, during each plurality of past times, an observed level of browsing activity performed at the merchant with respect to the selected item. The facility transforms the retrieved data into a projection of future purchasing activity at the merchant for the selected item.
Abstract:
A process and an apparatus for the preparation of petroleum hydrocarbon solvent with improved color stability from crude oils having high concentration of nitrogenous compounds which comprises passing said petroleum hydrocarbon stream containing substantial amount of nitrogenous compounds over a column of molecular sieves modified clays at ambient to elevated temperature and pressure maintaining the feed in the liquid state, thereby obtaining the petroleum hydrocarbon stream with desired color stability.
Abstract:
A wireless remote and infrared receivers for controlling AC appliances connected to the receivers, capable of leaning codes from other infrared remotes. The system can control light intensity, has a 24-hour programmable daily timer, a selectable sleep timer, and switching for appliances connected to the receivers. The system has an energy saving interval timer for heating and fan ventilation, and a transmitter capable of learning and unifying remotes for other home equipment into one master remote. As a safety measure the receiver has a mechanical bypass switch. The receiver may decode an activation/deactivation sequence on the power line from the main switch connected to the receiver to self bypass. When bypassed, the main switch regains direct control of the appliances. Simultaneously, besides bypassing the receiver, within five seconds the user may have the receiver memorize any key from any other remote to take over control of the appliances.

Inclusion complexes of glipizide and a nonionic surfactant with cyclodextrin and cyclodextrin derivatives. A method of preparing the inclusion complexes of glipizide and a nonionic surfactant with cyclodextrin and cyclodextrin derivatives, by wetting cyclodextrin or a derivative thereof with a nonionic surfactant, and mixing the resulting mixture with glipizide. A pharmaceutical composition containing an inclusion complex of glipizide and a nonionic surfactant with cyclodextrin and cyclodextrin derivatives, in combination with pharmaceutically acceptable excipients.

A method of preparing an inclusion complex of bupropion hydrochloride with beta cyclodextrin that stabilizes the bupropion hydrochloride against degradation. A novel stabilized sustained-release pharmaceutical composition of bupropion hydrochloride containing an inclusion complex of bupropion hydrochloride with beta cyclodextrin. A method of preparing a novel stabilized sustained-release pharmaceutical composition containing an inclusion complex of bupropion hydrochloride with beta cyclodextrin.
Abstract:
The invention provides cell lines capable of supporting the replication of a defective recombinant virus vector. In one aspect, bovine cell lines expressing adenovirus E1 functions are provided. The cell lines are useful for the propagation of adenovirus vectors with mutations and/or deletions in E1 and other essential regions of the adenovirus genome.
Abstract:
In a computer system executing a repository program and having a memory, a method is disclosed for identifying UML objects in the repository with objects in an XML file. The method includes the steps of parsing the XML file into XML objects and building an object tree. Next, the object tree is traversed a first time, and for each XML object found that has a name, corresponding UML objects are identified. After this, the object tree is traversed a second time, and for each XML object found that does not have a name, corresponding UML objects are then identified through Compositions and References. The method for traversing said object tree a first time includes the steps of identifying a UML object type for each XML object, and when the XML object name matches the UML object name at the current level, a UML and XML object IDs are saved in a ‘Conversion’ object in the memory.
Abstract:
One aspect of the invention resides in a monolithic sustained release composition of glipizide for patients with non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus that exhibits a breakdown after ingestion by a patient in conformity with a zero-order kinetic. The present invention provides a composition of a glipizide and a hydrocolloid forming agent and optimally other auxiliary excipients for the sustained release of glipizide. It is preferable that the hydrophilic material comprises at least 50% by weight of the composition. The present invention is also directed to the process for producing the composition. One aspect of this process includes the steps of granulating glipizide, a hydrophilic material and a diluent, drying the granulated product and lubricating the product with a flow regulating agent and lubricant.
