摘要: The present invention relates to a peptide for detecting HE4 and use thereof and, more specifically, to a peptide for detecting HE4 that specifically binds to HE4 and use thereof for diagnosing ovarian cancer. The peptide that specifically binds to HE4, according to the present invention, can detect HE4 with high sensitivity and accuracy. In addition, when the peptide is expressed in the outer coat of a bacteriophage and constructed into a bacteriophage nano self-assembly, the peptide can conveniently detect HE4 from a sample through observation of a color change with a simple imaging device such as a smartphone, and in particular, the peptide can detect HE4 included in a small amount in saliva, and thus has the advantage of being very effectively used in early diagnosis of ovarian cancer.

摘要: The present invention relates to an anti-HIV recombinant HIV-1 derived Topoisomerase IIβ kinase. It inhibits HIV-1 replication by blocking viral entry. Its recognition by envelope antibodies ID6 and 4G10 makes it a justifiable immunogen for use as vaccine candidate in form of protein, mRNA and DNA vaccine against HIV infection. Thus, the protein, mRNA and DNA of immunogenic recombinant HIV-1 derived Topoisomerase IIβ kinase and derived peptides with and without spacers can be used as a HIV vaccine.

摘要: The invention provides a recombinant West Nile virus, in which the amino acid sequence of envelope E protein is genetically modified to attenuation, and its RNA genome is inserted with a foreign gene fragment. The engineered E gene contains the mutation of five amino acids for reducing its neural virulence to the central nervous system; the integrated foreign gene between E and S1 gene makes a new chimerical virus. Thus, the present invention provides the application of this attenuated West Nile virus as a vaccine in preventive medicine and the application of the RNA-viral vector as a novel gene-drug in the pharmaceutical industry. The newly attenuated virus may fill the gap of no live-attenuated vaccine to the West Nile virus epidemic. The attenuated and recombinant virus can be used as an RNA oncolytic virus to target solid tumors, especially neural tumors, for cancer therapy with higher safety.

For example, methods for administering a nucleic acid encoding a wild-type or mutant butyrylcholinesterase having the ability to hydrolyze acyl ghrelin to a mammal under conditions wherein the level of acyl ghrelin within the mammal is reduced, under conditions wherein the rate of body weight gain of the mammal is reduced, under conditions wherein the mammal's level of aggression is reduced, and/or under conditions wherein the mammal's rate of developing stress-induced tissue damage are provided.
