Abstract:
A logging system and method based on a one-way hash function are described. The system includes a user system, a trusted third party, and a verifier. The method includes the following steps. The user system records a log file and initializes a message authentication code key and an image code. When the verifier requests the user system for a logging unit corresponding to an operation history, the user system uses a one-way hash function to calculate a check value and returns the check value and an image code sequence. The verifier then verifies the integrity of the check value and the image code sequence through the trusted third party. The trusted third party checks if the image code sequence obtained by the hash calculation equals to the check value through the one-way hash function, so as to verify that the log file of the user system has not been modified.
Abstract:
A vertical blind includes a headrail having a plurality of guide tracks, a carrier mechanism including a plurality of carriers slidably mounted on the guide tracks of the headrail, and a plurality of covering members attached to the carriers. Each of the carriers includes an elongated support plate, two fixing seats, and a bonding layer. Thus, the snapping recess of each of the fixing seats is snapped onto the support plate to secure the fixing seats to the support plate, and the bonding layer is clamped by the support plate and the fixing seats so as to assemble each of the carriers, so that the carriers are assembled easily and rapidly, thereby facilitating a user assembling the carriers.
Abstract:
A file access and management mechanism over Internet, and a method for distributing a file in arbitrary storage spaces and maintaining file security in the storage spaces are introduced herein. In addition, a method for maintaining file availability in the aforementioned storage spaces, a conversion manner between a network address and a virtual storage space address, and an addressing manner for determining addresses for placing file fragments are also introduced. The above storing manner also considers parameters at least including truth, availability, and size for choosing the storage space. And the present invention further provides a method for retrieving and deleting file fragments.
Abstract:
A detachable rolling-element retainer comprises: a slide block defined with a slide groove in which disposed a plurality of rolling elements and a base inserted in the slide groove of the slide block. The base is provided at either end thereof with elastic deformable stopping portions. One of the stopping portions is positioned at an end of the slide block after being compressed in to and passing through the slide groove, while another one of the stopping portions is positioned at another end of the slide block, thus enabling the base of the rolling-element retainer to be inserted into or disengaged from the slide groove of the slide block easily while preventing disengagement of the rolling elements from the slide block.
Abstract:
Stator laminated plates of an enclosed type motor are made of a preset number of laminated plates. Each laminated plate is composed of a main plate and two coupling plates. Each main plate is punched with a rotor inner hole, and two wing members extends from the two sides of the rotor hole, and spaced apart from the rotor hole in the same distance. Each wing member has its open end formed with an engage portion and each coupling plate assembled on the wing member of the main plate has the opposite ends respectively formed with a combining portion engaged with the engage portion of the wing member. The main plate and the two coupling plates are firmly combined together by mutual engagement of the engage portions and the combining portions, enabling the rotor to rotate smoothly and increasing the starting torsion and horsepower of the motor.
Abstract:
A novel method for forming electrodes in the fabrication of an MIM (metal-insulator-metal) capacitor, is disclosed. The method improves MIM capacitor performance by preventing plasma-induced damage to a dielectric layer during deposition of a top electrode on the dielectric layer, as well as by reducing or preventing the formation of an interfacial layer between the dielectric layer and the electrode or electrodes, in fabrication of the MIM capacitor. The method typically includes the patterning of crown-type capacitor openings in a substrate; depositing a bottom electrode in each of the crown openings; subjecting the bottom electrode to a rapid thermal processing (RTP) or furnace anneal step; depositing a dielectric layer on the annealed bottom electrode; depositing a top electrode on the dielectric layer using a plasma-free CVD (chemical vapor deposition) or ALD (atomic layer deposition) process; and patterning the top electrode of each MIM capacitor.
Abstract:
A simple and effective coherent radiation device generates laser-like radiation from an optical parametric oscillator (OPO) that is formed by a dielectric-modulation structure in a nonlinear optical material. The nonlinear optical material used in the OPO can be a birefringence phase-matched material or a quasi-phase-matched material.
Abstract:
This invention relates to an automatic detection method and apparatus for tuning the frequency and phase of displaying clock of a display to match the frequency and phase of pixel clock of a PC's display interface card. Based on the synchronized displaying clock, the image shown by digital display will be stable and bright in color. The automatic detection apparatus of invention includes a clock generation unit, a sampling unit, a data processing unit, an accumulation unit, and a decision unit. The clock generation unit creates a plurality of sampling clocks and according to these sampling packet sequences, the sampling unit samples and holds the pixel signals of image frames based on the pixel clock of display interface card, and then stores these data in its registers. The data processing unit calculates and transmits the differences of sampled data based on every sampling clock to accumulation unit that accumulates these differences, and transmits the sums of these differences to decision unit that finds out the sampling clock with the smallest transmitted sum, and let the phase and frequency of sampling clock with the smallest summed value as those of displaying clock of the PC display.
Abstract:
A wafer-level process for fabricating a plurality of passivated semiconductor devices comprising the steps of providing a semiconductor wafer on that at least one p-n junction is formed, Cutting a plurality of grooves in said wafer to expose said at least one p-n junction, wherein each of said grooves extends partly through the wafer and has a depth that is enough to expose said at least one p-n junction, applying a passivating material into said grooves and curing the material. The grooves can be formed by using a disc saw having a blade, by performing a sandblasting operation within a controlled operation time, or by performing a photolithographically chemical etching process. The passivating material is either screen-printed or pin-dispensed into the grooves. A dicing operation can be subsequently proceeded to divide the wafer into individual chips for subsequent fabrication into completed semiconductor devices.

A safety lift cord device includes a safety guard adapted to be attached to a blind shade of a window blind, and a lift cord extending vertically in a lengthwise direction in a cord running section of the guard. The cord running section has a plurality of guard units, each having first and second front segments which are disposed forwardly of and intersect the lift cord, and first and second rear segments which are disposed rearwardly of and intersect the lift cord such that a penetrating hole is defined among the segments. It is not feasible for a child to reach and pull the lift cord out from the penetrating holes.
