摘要: A pharmaceutical composition containing as its active ingredient a disaccharide derivative having a derivative group of the following formula (1) bonded to a carbon atom of a disaccharide: ##STR1## wherein Y is a member of the group consisting of NH and O; and when Y is NH, Z is a member of the class consisting of --O-- (disaccharide residue) and --O--, with the proviso that one of the two bonds is attached to the other carbon atom of the same disaccharide to which the formula (1) group is bonded, and when Y is O, Z is a member of the class consisting of --NH.sub.2 and --O--, with the proviso that one of the two bonds is attached to a carbon atom of a disaccharide different from that to which the formula (1) group is bonded. The disaccharide derivative can be prepared by reacting a disaccharide with an activating agent selected from the group consisting of the cyanogen halides, organic cyanic acid esters and halogenocarbonic acid alkyl esters. Said pharmaceutical composition is useful for treating hepatic diseases.

摘要: A method of inspecting unevenness of a partition wall surface of a honeycomb structure includes the steps of: allowing a diffusion light to enter from one end face 8 side by a predetermined lighting means 3 and to exit from the other end face 8 side of the honeycomb structure 2 after passing it through the inside of the cells, allowing the exited diffusion light to pass through a translucent screen 4 disposed on the other end face 9 side of the honeycomb structure 2 to act as a transmitted light, projecting a transmitted image 13 by means of the tone of the transmitted light onto the transmitted light side of the screen 4, picking up the transmitted image 13 projected on the screen 4 by an imaging means 5, and analyzing by an analyzing means 6 the gray level of the obtained image to inspect for each cell the degree of the surface unevenness of the partition walls. This method enables easy inspection on the surface unevenness of the partition walls of the honeycomb structure 2.

摘要: A shape-measuring device 1 measures the shape of a object to be measured 1 in which segments are arranged and bonded in rows while relatively moving the object 1 in one direction. The shape-measuring device includes rollers 31 provided corresponding to the rows of segments and displaced to follow unevenness of an end face 1a of the object while being rotated on the end face 1a due to the relative movement, detection means 35 provided corresponding to each roller 31 and detecting the amount of displacement of each roller 31, and calculation means 37 for calculating shape data of the object 1 based on the amount of displacement of the roller 31 detected by the detection means 35. The shape-measuring device 1 can accurately and promptly measure the shape of the object such as a DPF in which segments are bonded in rows.

摘要: In an electronic control unit, a case has a peripheral side portion formed with a concave groove in which a connector is fitted with a clearance portion between the concave groove and the connector. The connector has first inclined portions connecting its lateral surface (one of its base surfaces) and its longitudinal surface (the other of its base surfaces). Each first inclined portion is inclined with respect to the lateral surface at a first angle. The concave groove comprises a base surface opposite to a lateral surface of the connector and second inclined portions opposite to first inclined portions of the connector, respectively. Each second inclined portion is inclined with respect to the base surface at a second angle. The second angle is larger than the first angle. A seal member is disposed in the clearance portion between the connector and the concave groove of the case so that the seal member seals the clearance portion therebetween.

摘要: An electronic control unit installed on a high temperature heat source or in its vicinity exhibits an improved heat dissipation ability within its installation environment. The electronic control unit has a chassis incorporating a printed circuit board where electronic devices are mounted. The outer surface of the chassis on the side of the high temperature heat source has a coating for lowering infrared absorption, while the outer surface of the chassis on the side away from the high temperature heat source has a coating for enhancing heat emissivity. Preferably, the inner surfaces of the chassis are subject to a surface treatment for increasing infrared absorption.
