    摘要： Method and arrangement for providing a load carrier mountable on a carrying vehicle. The arrangement includes an elevating structure arranged between a base portion and a load supporting portion. The elevating structure is adapted to expand and contract between raised and lowered configurations. The elevating structure includes two substantially upright members, each of which is slidably moveable relative to the other for establishing the raised and lowered configurations. A fixing device is provided for releasably fixing the two sliding members one to the other. The fixing device includes a blocking member that is insertible in aligned receivers, one each of the aligned receivers being formed in each of the two sliding members for preventing expansion and contraction of the elevating structure. The fixing device further includes a take-up arrangement that is configured to press one of the two upright members against the other thereby forming a releasable friction fit therebetween.

The output terminal of the battery is shaped and positioned to make electrical contact with the input terminal of the controller to energize the controller without regard to the orientation of the battery about its central axis.

    摘要： The present invention provides a pill splitter designed for cutting pills in a relatively safe manner. The pill splitter includes a main body with a top housing and a bottom housing having a blade mounted thereto. The top housing has a slot defined therein for receipt of the blade. The top housing moves relative to the bottom housing. A lid is hingedly connected to the top housing. A locking mechanism is positioned on the lid for controlling the movement of the top housing relative to the bottom housing and the blade. In the protected position, when the locking mechanism is engaged, the top housing resides in front of the blade to prevent a user from contacting the blade. In the cutting position, when the locking mechanism is disengaged, the blade is routed through the slot in the top housing thereby exposing a cutting edge thereof for cutting a pill.

The binder may have two panels connected to one another by a hinge and a binding mechanism connected to one of the panels and designed to receive an article, such as one or more sheets of loose-leaf paper and other such articles. Molding may be located on the hinges to reinforce the hinge and may be less hard than the panel material. Molding may be located along the entire length of the hinge or in discrete sections spaced from one another along the hinge. Molding may also be located on edges of the cover panels, such as along the entire edge or at the corners between the edges. The material of the molding may be a different material than the material of the panels. To form the molding on or with the panels, techniques such as comolding or overmolding may be employed.

    摘要： A wrist-mount blood pressure monitor includes a housing having an anterior leg and a posterior leg rigidly connected together. The anterior leg is opposed and spaced a distance from the posterior leg so that a wrist is allowed to fit in the space between the legs. An inflatable bladder is positioned within the anterior leg of the housing for pressurizing an artery within the wrist. At least one stiffening member can be enclosed within the housing for assuring limited transverse movement between the anterior and posterior legs during pressurization of bladder. A blood pressure monitoring unit is operablely connected to the bladder for sensing and calculating blood pressure. A display unit is also provided for displaying blood pressure measurement.
