    Abstract: A fluid manifold includes a manifold body, a first annular passage and a second annular passage. The first annular passage is defined within the manifold body between a first passage inlet and a first passage outlet downstream from the first passage inlet. The second annular passage is defined within the manifold body nested radially outward from the first annular passage, and between a second passage inlet and a second passage outlet downstream from the second passage inlet. The first and second annular passages are concentric about a manifold axis. The first passage outlet and the second passage outlet are positioned at the same axial position relative to the manifold axis.

    Abstract: A nozzle for injecting liquid includes a nozzle body defining a flow channel and a swirl ante-chamber in fluid communication with the flow channel. An injection point orifice is defined in the swirl ante-chamber. The flow channel feeds into the swirl ante-chamber to impart a tangential flow component on fluids entering the swirl ante-chamber to generate swirl on a spray issuing from the injection point orifice. A second flow channel can be included in fluid communication with the swirl ante-chamber. The second flow channel feeds into the swirl ante-chamber in cooperation with or in opposition to the first flow channel. The first flow channel, second flow channel, and swirl ante-chamber are configured and adapted to adjust spray angle of a spray issuing from the injection point orifice by varying flow apportionment among the first and second flow channels.

An outer surface of the fuel prefilmer includes a prefilmer seal surface configured to mate with the outer heat shield seal surface such that the fuel prefilmer seats on the outer heat shield seal surface and such that the prefilmer seal surface is configured to allow the surfaces to slide relative to one another in both a radial and axial direction.

    Abstract: A method of manufacturing includes depositing a braze filler adjacent to a void between a first component and a second component thus holding the components in position before brazing. The first and second components are heated to melt and flow the braze filler into the void. A braze joint is formed between the first and second components by cooling the braze filler. Depositing the braze filler can include laser cladding the braze filler to the first and/or second components adjacent the void. The method also optionally includes welding the first and second components in position with the braze filler adjacent to the void. The braze filler may be deposited as a powder, cold spray, melted brazed filament, spherical ball or any other suitable form.
